Editor note

As close as Atari every came to Gauntlet on one of their own home systems. 1 player or 2 players simultaneous cooperative. Based on the Atari 8-bit computer game Dandy by John Howard Palevich. Atari originally stole the design of Dandy as the basis of Gauntlet without giving credit to the creator. After an out of court settlement, Atari provided credit for all subsequent versions, including this one. In the instruction book, you'll find a copyright notice for John Howard Palevich. Giving credit was a very rare occurrence for Atari. Of course stealing someone's design wasn't exactly business as usual for them either.
