Beautiful background graphics and monsters, really good music and gameplay that stays true to the original Castlevania. The reason why it fails to be a fantastic game is the extreme slowdown when there are enemies on-screen which kills all the hit-potential this game would have had.

The first portable Castlevania game. Help Christopher Belmont eliminate that pesky Dracula once again with the good ol' Belmont family whip! Too bad Christopher moves about as fast as a turtle in molasses.
