Commonly this involves horror genre, though exists outside of it and horror genre is not required to have anything that belongs to this tag (most notably horror meant for children).

Best used for non-gore grotesque things, such as people having a habit of digging their thumbs into other people's eyesockets (without actually showing the effects of this action). Similarly plentiful implied or verbally/textually described gore can be enough for this.
