Software concept

Player can freely toggle, cycle, or otherwise change what their pointing device or similar controls, such as toggling between UI pointer to manipulate items and mouse look.

This is specifically for how the pointer interacts with the game rather than what command the pointer is mapped to, so for example, adventure games where player can change the pointer from walk, look, talk, etc. commands do not count since they do not change what the pointer controls in the game.
