Hyperduel

Technosoft returns to what they do best after releasing their 3-D fighting games Reverthion, Hyper Reverthion and Steeldom. Those products were average games that were not top caliber enough to grab a large fan base. It is good to see a new shooter from this company after the many years since the Mega-Drive succumbed to market forces. Hyper Duel is graphically excellent and will remind you of Thunderforce with its polished metallic backgrounds, robotic bosses and its intense pace.
You can choose to play as either of two robots or an airship that looks exactly like the Thunderforce fighter. Technosoft calls them buster-gears in the sense that they bust things up. The usual power ups are in force and sidearms can be picked up which will add to your firepower. Hyper Duel is excellent and allows me to breath a sigh of relief because Technosoft still knows how to make an awesome shooter.
