It is written entirely in machine language to obtain the fastest possible action, uses the highest resolution graphics available and does not require Extended Basic.

You must defend the earth from the attacking invaders while dodging their bombs. Just when you think you've got them beaten, they speed up and come at you faster.

Color Space Invaders has all of the features of the arcade game plus two exciting new ones - a mobile defensive shield will help defend you against the invader's bombs and a mystery invader which zooms in and out of hyperspace.

Downland  Spectral Associates1983The DRM of this game attempts to overwrite itself, which fails without issue if the writes are sent to unwritable an ROM cartridge. But if the game is running from RAM, it corrupts itself overwrites. This DRM is why it doesn't on a Coco 2. It also writes bad data into an area of memory that it is not supposed to (for some mystery purpose). This area of memory happens to be used by the GIME chip in the latter released CoCo 3 hardware. This mystery write normally prevents the game from running on the CoCo 3. There are three methods to run this game on a Coco 2 or 3. One method is to acquire an illegal cracked copy (not recommended here a UVL, but not unapproved by the game's author). A more complicated but non-solder hardware hack method is available. Put tape on the left side pins of the cartridge (these cross the jumpers pins that tell the Coco to boot and run the cartridge automatically, hot plugging a bootloader cart will reset the Coco). Turn the CoCo 3 on. [i]Then[/i] [size=+3][b]CAREFULLY[/b][/size] insert the cartridge [size=+3][b]STRAIGHT[/b][/size] into the Coco (inserting it off kilter may destroy the Coco). And finally, enter [b][code]EXEC &HE010[/code][/b]. Method three involves downloading a patched version that the author provided to the public 2002-05-23.

The author originally had a 9K version of the game with no DRM, more colors, and full Coco 2 & 3 compatibility. He provided 8K versions of both to Tandy but the better version was never published.

Shortly before the game was finished, the author realized that none of the data in his game used a value larger than 15-bits worth (0-32767). So the 16th bit could be used to identify whether the data belonged to player 1 (0) or player 2 (1), so the game got a two player mode.

Simply walk into the structure in the center of the room. Except there are four-legged digital spiders in your way. And every few minutes, they split into additional four-legged digital spiders. This alone creates an urgency to exit the room, but there is also countdown to certain death.

[b]MCP[/b]
Players dive into the beam of light and are pulled up to be smashed into the MCP's circular wall of shields. Players can remove sections of the shield but new sections always scroll in from the left. Punch a hole and run through.

[b]Tank[/b]
It's Pac-Man, [i]with shooting TANKS![/i]. Shoot all the enemy tanks and escape.

[b]Light Cycles[/b]
The classic snake game for two or more players where the snake grows as fast as it moves. Cycles make 90° turns and leave an ever present trail of harmful light wherever they go; don't go into the light.

Play each game and they all reset to a harder version to play again, 12 times! What happens after the 12th win, someone would have to accomplish that for us to know :)***Tron-like
