Battle Isle Ubi Soft (Blue Byte)1991On the distant planet Chromos, the Drullian people fight the forces of Skynet-Titan, an AI out of control. The player has to lead the Drull armies to victory in several battles.

A turn-based strategy game. The screen is split in two, one half for each player. While the first player can move his units, the other can attack and vice versa.

There are 16 levels to play against the computer and another 16 for 2 player competitive play.***

Amazingly huge game taking place on all the planets of a
solar system, your job is to prevent the comet Damocles from colliding with a planet. There are several ways to do this: the gameplay is nonlinear and allows you to explore but the clock is ticking! You lose if the comet hits the planet. Best game in the series.

[52]***With SimCity, take the destiny of the world's greatest cities in hand. Build houses, streets, factories, airports, and a stadium. You will have to fight crime and pollution, collect taxes and balance you budget.

Everything is managed and animated in real time. Every decision influences instantly the life of your town. You will face crises, natural disasters (tornadoes, earthquakes, etc.), but - who knows - maybe on day you finally get the city of your dreams.

SimCity is an all-absorbing and unique game. It contains 8 pre-defined scenarios: e.g. SAN FRANCISCO, TOKYO, RIO DE JANEIRO... But, of course, you're free to plan your own city.

Utopia: The Creation of a Nation Gremlin Graphics;Konami (Celestial Software)1991Directly from the game-box:

Can you create Utopia? Now's your chance to find out. Leading a colonising party to a barren planet you aim to create the perfect society, where everyone has a quality of life rating of 100%. Do you spend your money on weapons or social research? Build hospitals or tank factories? The myriad of decisions to be made are yours, and the fact that there are over ten different alien races all bursting for the opportunity to wipe out the colony should speed up the decision making process. An icon driven game with the main playing area presented in isometric 3-D, Utopia breaks new ground in computer entertainment.

Nantettatte!! Baseball  Sunsoft1990The two addons are:
- Nantettatte!! Baseball OB All Star Hen (released Feb 28, 1991)
- Nantettatte!! Baseball '91 Kaimaku Hen (released May 31, 1991)***Similar to the "Lock-on Technology" of [game=#33705]Sonic & Knuckles[/game], this cart has a slot on the back to plug in smaller data cartridge. In this way, customers could purchase the game once and, theoretically, play the game with updated teams and stats for every year by buying a new data cartridge from Sunsoft for cheaper than a sequel. Likewise, Sunsoft made more profit on a data cartridge than a sequel would have made them.
The game itself was dubbed an oyagame cartridge. The add-ons were kogame cartridges.

I discovered there to be at least two kogame cartridges for this game:
'91開幕編
OBオールスター編

The MESS emulator allows for a near authentic and legal (if you do it right) way to experience this oyagame+kogame experience.
mess nes -cart

OYAROM.NES

-cart2

KOGAME.NES

For other emulators, the oyagame and kogame must be plugged together and dumped (they dumping hardware must support and be set to use Sunsoft's oyagame+kogame banking scheme). But to keep it legal, this file must be erased before one can make a dump of a different joined kogame. Alternatively, one can dump the oyagame and kogames as separate files (as the MESS emulator requires), and merge the oyagame and kogame ROMs (erasing both original files in the process) to play it. To play a different kogame, this file must be separated back into the original 2 files and then the oyagame file merged with the other kogame.
But by far the easiest legal alternative would be to use a Retrode and NES plug-in adaptor (as soon as it becomes available) and simply plug in oyagame and kogame carts as you would in a real Famicom.
