Cliff Hanger | Stern | 1984 | Featuring Cliff Hanger, known in Europe and Japan as Lupin III. used footage from Castle of Cagliostro and Mystery of Mamo anime movies. A Dragon's Lair type game with a fast pace and easier inerface. Knowing what to do is farely easy, the one I got to play didn't have to have perfect timing. I watched some people input the moves and then sit back and watch. To me, that's the way it should be, not some dork, er Dirk squeeking and "huh?" ing when you've already entered the right combos. The character comes from Lupin, which has a lot of Anime movies, and other games on Nintendo and Playstation. Someday this will be emulated on Daphne or appear on PC. This is almost 2004, and still not alot of action concerning the game version. | Arcade | labelimageminimize |

Lupin Sansei: Pandora no Isan | Namco (Tose) | 1987 | This game based on the Lupin III anime series is actually quite good, which was not always the case at around that time with anime to game conversions. Lots of diverse levels. And you can switch between controlling Lupin or his friends Jigen and Goemon, each one with special abilities. Lupin can use special gimmicks, Jigen is the best shooter and Goemons sword destroys things otherwise indestructable. What I did not enjoy was the more and more maze-like and overly confusing levels at the end. | NES | labelimageminimize |
