3D World Soccer Simulmondo1992We know that it's what everyone claims but believe us when we say that this is the best simulator/game of soccer ever made for computer or console!!! 3D WORLD SOCCER is the most playable, the most spectacular, the most realistic and the most technical soccer game yet. Adidas Championship Football Ocean1990Adidas Championship Football is a soccer game with 24 national teams. The only playing mode is a championship which mimics the World Cup with randomly drawn groups. A second player can control a second team.

The playing perspective is top-down with a scrolling field. The control method is an expanded dribbling method known from the Kick Off series. To make a shot, the player needs to hold down the button for a certain amount of time (this determines the power of the shot) and only then play the ball. The angle can be changed by tapping the button.***Although reviewed in a few magazines, Adidas Championship Football was not officially released on the Amiga in the end. The game has been been recovered though and is available to play.***

Bundesliga Manager Software 20001989Bundesliga Manager is a managerial simulator for a team in the top three German football leagues (Bundesliga, Zweite Liga or Regionalliga). The game contains the real player and team names of that time. The player can handle most of the relevant aspects of a soccer team both economic and sport-wise. The user has to trade players, organize the training, handle the team's line-ups and tactics, negotiate contracts with players and sponsors, and expand the team's stadium.

The player follows his team's games as a small white dot moving horizontally over a green rectangle, simulating a ball moving on a soccer field. Up to four players can play simultaneously in hot-seat mode. Bundesliga Manager was the first title in Software 2000's six game series of football management games.***

Championship Manager Domark (Sports Interactive)1992Championship Manager starts a series of football management games, which means that you don't actually control your players during matches, but you're in charge of choosing the starting lineup and tactics. Matches are played out through a running commentary, with the chance to interrupt it to make substitutions or tactical changes. Each player's performance is rated out of 10 and these are among the many statistics stored throughout the game.

The game features all the most important British competitions, and the database 80 league teams (each with complete squads) and 380 non-league and European teams (who you will sometimes play against, but can not purchase their players - buying overseas players is dealt with elsewhere). There are 1,500 players featured, each rated on attributes such as passing, tackling and creativity, and with details such as age and nationality also stored, and 650 managers, coaches, scouts, and physios.

Between matches you can purchase or sell your players and trim your squad to suit your needs. When you approach a player, and both the club and player are interested, you put in an offer and see if the club accepts it - they may request an increase. The player will have demands for contract length and wage, before a deal can be completed.

The game follows the season by splitting each week into weekday and weekend, each of which may or may not include a match. After you have done everything you press Done and the game progresses in time.***

Club And Country BOMS Computer Games (Teque London)1995In Club & Country the player is the coach of an English soccer team and is in charge of the athletic and financial success. He starts in the Third Division and eventually becomes the English national coach. On the financial side he can buy and sell players, expand the stadium and fire or hire other staff like a groundskeeper. On the athletic side the main aspects are the training and the large tactical possibilities which can be set for every player.

The matches are displayed in a screen where the lineup of the player's and the enemy's team is given. There is no animation but there is a text commentary on the bottom of the screen. The player is able to make tactical changes during the game and substitute players. When a special event happens, e.g. a goal, a still in comic graphics is displayed.***

Football Manager Prism Leisure Corporation (Addictive Games)1990The disk label says "Exclusively distributed by Prism Leisure Corporation PLC Copyright 1988".
But I wonder who really programmed this version, because Prism Leisure is a company who often re-releases games (I wish I had the box and/or the manual). Perhaps it was Addictive who also did the second game, but I'm not sure. And I couldn't find anything about this first "Football Manager" for Amiga anywhere in the Internet (only FM 2 and FM World Cup Edition). And what disturbs me even more is that when I start the game it says "Copyright 1990 Prism Leisure plc". But this would mean it was released AFTER Football Manager 2! Hmmm...I really think I got a re-release of this game. If someone knows better then please correct the publisher and copyright information.
Edit: HOL confirms a 1990 release of Football Manager, being released 2 years after the sequel.

Football Manager World Cup Edition Addictive Games1990The aim is to manage your team through to winning te WORLD CUP FINAL. Unlike previous Football Manager games there is no requirement to deal with anything other than team tactics, positioning and individual player management.

What makes this game uniquely brilliant is the fact that you now have total control of each player in terms of instructing him on things like passing forwards, backwards, long kicks, short kicks etc.

Another major factor is morale. This subtley affects your teams performance. So what you say to the newspaper press is important. If the reporters believe and support what you say, they will print positive information about your team and it will boost their morale.

You can also affect your team's morale by what you say to them before and halfway through a game.
