Even telling how to identify your allies positively (and thus who isn't your ally) by insignia, uniform appearance, etc. would've been extremely useful. Despite this, it's a very impressive simulation shooter though not very enjoyable online to me due to having no way of telling friend and enemy apart.***Latest version: 1.05 (as of 2009-12-22)***Officially not called nor published under any form of "Armed Assault" title, only ArmA. Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars  Electronic Arts (EA Los Angeles)2007CnC3 is probably the hardest strategy game I know, and not because the AI is that good, but because it cheats so much. Even on the so called easy difficulty the game is frustratingly hard to even barely win (later) missions. Besides that I still like it, especially the revised GDI and the all new Scrin faction. As a game I would not recommend this to anyone but the masochistic players or diehard Tiberium series fans.***Latest version: 1.09 (as of ?)***March, 2047. A massive nuclear fireball explodes high in the night sky, marking the dramatic beginning to the Third Tiberium War and long-awaited return of the most groundbreaking Real-time Strategy franchise (RTS) of all time.

The critically-acclaimed Command & Conquer (C&C) series returns with Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars (C&C 3). Setting the standard for the future of RTS gaming once more, C&C 3 takes you back to where it all began—the Tiberium Universe.

In 2047, Tiberium has blanketed the Earth, which is now divided into zones based on the level of Tiberium infestation. Pristine Blue Zones represent 20% of the planet's surface and are the last refuge of the civilized world. Partially habitable Yellow Zones make up 50% of the planet's surface; most of the world's population lives in these war-torn and ecologically ravaged areas. The remaining 30% of the planet is uninhabitable, a Tiberium wasteland swept by violent Ion Storms. Red Zones are like the surface of an Alien planet.

The infamous Kane has returned to lead the Brotherhood of Nod in a massive global assault on the Global Defense Initiative and the few remaining Blue zones left on the planet. Only you can stop him. The fate of humanity – and the planet – is in your hands.

Featuring state-of-the-art, next-generation graphics, an epic story with live action, full-motion video sequences, and the classic fast-paced C&C style of play, C&C 3 sets the standard for the single player RTS experience.

When you decide to test your skills online, a suite of truly innovative features, such as the ability to transform online battles into a spectator sport, unfold.

Welcome back, Commander.

Dune II: Battle For Arrakis  Virgin (Westwood Studios)1993Dear Reverend Mother Marius Alethea Blasco:

The situation on Arrakis is critical. I have collected the information that you requested and strongly urge you to make a decision soon on this matter.

Frederick's political gamble has proved dangerous. Desperate for spice, he has challenged the three great Houses to compete for mining rights. The possession and Governorship of Arrakis has been offered as incentive for the House that delivers the most spice.

We have considerable self-interest in this war. Arrakis is the only known source of the spice, and it cannot be manufactured. We must make certain that whichever of the competing Houses prevails, our supply to the Gesserit remains continuous. We cannot afford to make enemies now.

I hope this report is useful to you. Please let me know if there is additional information that you require.

Your Servant,
Lady Elara Moray Trieu***

Dune II: Battle for Arrakis  Virgin (Westwood Studios)1993Control of the planet Dune is a top priority for any faction that has aspirations of ruling the universe. That's why three Houses are engaged in a bloody battle, each knowing that Dune is the key to building an insurmountable federation. You can choose from any of the three Houses, Atreides, Harkonnens, or Ordos, and see if you can lead your people to victory. You'll face nine unique levels full of enemies, natural obstacles, and the unknown as you try to fortify your position and gain control of the planet. You'll have to build and defend your base, but don't forget that the only way you'll win this war is to attack your opponents. Finding the right balance between attacks and defensive maneuvers can mean the difference between victory and defeat, so plan your strategy carefully.***This game was the first real-time strategy game (such as Warcraft, Age of Empires, Command & Conquer, etc...). OpenRA: Dune 2000 OpenRA developers2015A note about gender. There is no option for the player to choose the gender of their commander. But nothing in the game imposes gender on the commander that the player chooses. Commanders are not referred to with gender specific pronouns. Within the Dune universe, there are males, females, and then the concept of gender fluidity or gender malleability. There's nothing in the Dune universe to suggest that the position of commander of any of the three Noble Houses would be limited by gender of any sort. Though, no commander is going to be a Bene Gesserit (who have their own very specific gender uniquities), but that's for reasons having nothing to do with gender. Players can imagine the gender of their commander however they want to. Linuxlabelimageminimize
