Descent II  author?Having completely eliminating all free thinking robots by destroying all PTMC (Post Terra Mining Company) mines as specified in his contract, our protagonist returns to base for his bounty. On arrival he is briefed by the PTMC representative (revealed to the audience to be named Dravis) on his next missing over his objections that he has fulfilled his contract. Dravis threatens him with law suit (which our protagonist is unconcerned about) and notifies him he will not be paid yet thanks to a 72 hour retainer clause in his contract. A warp drive is install on the ship during their argument. Dravis describes the mission as reconnaissance in the Zeta Aquilae system but our protagonist and the audience can see on the cockpit readout that the ship is being upgraded with news weapons (also from exterior views). We also get to see details the warp core prototype displayed in the cockpit. He sets out to eliminate the supposed source of the AI that immigrated to PTMC mines (which Dravis now refers to as an alien infestation) with only an inkling of PTMC's regard for him as no different than their robot slaves.******Mines throughout the solar system have been taken over by the robots built to mine them. Humans have been killed or imprisoned in the mines. It seems to be caused by some sort of computer virus. The owning company has hired a mercenary to rescue the surviving prisoners and destroy the main reactor in each mine, thus destroying the infected robots.
Shoot the robots, get power ups, find the keys, find the reactor, rescue the humans, destroy the reactor, escape the exploding mine, repeat.

World of Padman Padworld Entertainment (Color Your World)2007***A cartoonish first-person-shooter where toys blast each other with plastic guns in and around a gamer's home.

WoP began as a Quake III Arena mod but became a standalone game after ID Tech 3 (the Q3A engine) was opensourced. WoP has no Capture the Flag mode as Q3A and no a single player campaign (currently, 2011-05) but bots of various skill levels are provided as opponents for offline and online play. Every mode includes scoring points. It is multiplayer focused. It has no health powerups items, rather health is restored at revival stations. Unique modes featured in WoP include Spray Your Color, Big Balloon, and Last Pad Standing. Spray Your Color involves claiming as many rooms as possible by blasting your logo on a wall in each. But, ink to blast your logo with can only be collected from an enemy player. SYC can be played with or without teams. Big Balloon involves camping at a balloon to claim it then camping to make it grow. It is only played with teams. Points are awarded for claiming, minimum size passed and maximum size reached. Plus bonuses for claiming multiple balloons. Last Pad Standing is a tightly designed free-for-all where the HUD is limited and there is a 'here I am' marker that makes camping the most likely cause of death for the camper. Each player in LPS is allotted a set number of lives and becomes a spectator on lose their last one. Last one standing receives a massive score bonus (nearly always resulting in winning).

Zelda Classic Armageddon Games2007Remember how hard the original was without maps and guids? The 4th quest (usually launched after the 2nd), is much harder than the 1st and 2nd combined. Then the 3rd quest (usually played last), is even harder. And there's a 5th quest.***An unofficial near pixel perfect recreation of the original NES classic plus additional quests. Also includes an editor; using the Zelda Classic Engine to make completely new games in the style of the original game, Link to the Past, and Link's Awakening. Engine and game creation tools of the editor are extensive enough to create platformer games and other games that don't resemble any Zelda games at all.

Upon finishing the 2nd quest with 16 hearts, players will begin the '4th' quest (because its easier than the 3rd). To play the 3rd quest after the 2nd, complete it with fewer than 16 hearts. Beat the 3rd quest without dying to play the 5th quest. The frequently updated versions often do not get corresponding Linux versions. Quests sometimes do not work correctly unless they are matched with the version they were created for. Generally, only the latest Linux version is available from Armageddon Games and this is located in a hard to find spot on the site (and changes). Despite this, all Quests can be played on Linux once a compatible version of the player is downloaded by whoever may be providing it currently on the internet.

Balazar III 3D  author2008Balazar III is a dungeon adventure game with multiplayer support. As
you explore the dungeon, you'll gain magical objects, experience and
powers, but also... curses ! Balazar III is based on the (French)
comics "Le guide Balazar du mauvais sorcier" (Balazar's guide to bad
sorcerers).

The game comes in two versions (which are network-compatible):
- 3D version destined to computer gamers. The 3D version is
graphically more beautiful, as it takes avantages of the nice
cellshading algorithms of the Soya 3D engine.
- 2D version, currently supporting 640x480 and 800x480 resolutions.
It has been designed mainly for hand-held devices (Sharp Zaurus,
Nokia N810, Openmoko Freerunner, Asus EEE PC, and the like),
although it can be used on computer too. This version has been
highly optimized so as it can be run in 640x480 on a Zaurus C1000
(416 MHz ARM processor without graphics accelerators).

This package is a metapackage depending on the 3D version.

Pyskool author2008Your on a mission to steal your report card. Its in a safe. Get the combination from the teachers, each one has a single number of it. Careful, when you are caught misbehaving you'll have to write on the chalkboard. Get assigned 10,000 lines and the game becomes effectively unbeatable (best to avoid that). Other students will help and hinder you. There's the bully, the tearaway, the swot, the girl you like, and others.
This remake of Skool Daze and Back to School can be easily modded via plain text files. It comes with four games:
Skool Daze - The original revisited
Back to Skool - The original revisited
Skool Daze Take Too - A new adventure by the author
Ezad Looks - A new adventure by the author
Back to Skool Daze - A new adventure by the author

Asylum  Digital Psychosis2009A port of the Acorn game of the same name; now available from the public domain.
Sometimes a cigar is just a...
...representation of a insane brain cell powered teleporter from your ego to you id.
Journey through young Sigmond's unstable mind and disable a few malfunctioning brain cells to restore his sanity.
Grab anything that doesn't move, shoot everything else, shut down brain cells, and kneel before the candle candelabra.

The original game, source and binaries, was declaired Public Domain by the author. The author of this port claims GPLv3. Strictly speaking, this is a tinuous license if even valid at all, since it is based on a work in the public domain. Licensing it as GPLv3 puts it under copyright, which is unconstitutional (for a PD work) and has never been done by person or entity other than the US congress (and they do so unconstitutionally as well).

Cytadela Asymptopia Software2010Cytadela is a single player game in which the player fights against
computer-controlled (AI) enemies. The goal of the game is to find six
bomb parts with which the Citadel has to be blown up.

To achieve it, the player not only has to defend himself against the
enemies, but (s)he also has to solve many riddles, such as switching
apropriate buttons in order to open some door, move some walls, etc.

It's a conversion of a first person shooter Amiga game originally
released in mid 1990's, first in Poland and then in other countries.

Cytadela requires a 3D graphics card. It uses the OpenGL and GLU
libraries for 3D, and SDL and SDL_mixer for 2D, music, sounds and
controllers.
