B-1 Nuclear Bomber Avalon Hill1981 labelimageminimize
Blitz Commodore1982This is the first of its type. This game began as a clone of Atari's Canyon Bomber. Or more accurately, a clone of a description of Atari's Canyon Bomber. But, it was modified slightly into this form that launched hundreds of Blitz clones.***Probably not the first of its type but the first one that i played. Simple but addictive. Drop those bombs and flatten the buildings!
[Nev]***A freebie given away as part of the Commodore Vic 20 package but fun all the same.
You are loosing altitude in your bi-plane and are at risk of colliding with the city. Being the old days, it is perfectly acceptible to bomb the city level so that no building remains standing to ensure you get a smooth touch down. And this is all you must do. A fun little dance at the end too if you successfuly land your plane. A game even my gran could play (and she liked it too!)
[Altori @ www.ovine.net]***What a timeless classic.
As it only used the space bar to drop the bombs this made it a very easy game to get into. Nothing fancy just press that space bar.
Very addictive game in its time.
