Sierra simply added 'Ultima' to the title in an attempt to increase sales. Richard Garriott was not aware of this title. On the cassette it also said "Ultima™ of Lord British". The "Ultima" trademark belonged to Richard Garriott and it would seem that Sierra illegally used it.
