Zorgon's Kingdom Romik1984hard
I admit not having played the game myself. This tag might not actually apply. I've decided to tag it because both professional and amateur reviewers commonly believe the game has only one level or sometimes two levels (but not universally, I found one reviewer, giving it an average score, who made it to level 3 and gave up further play). It in fact has 6 levels (the first level is replayed harder so one might say it has 5 levels). From its release to this very day, reviewers seem to fail to pass the first or second level. This alone is not enough. But there are also some owners of the game that don't believe in the other levels, even though the game's packaging advertises them.***

Zok's Kingdom Anirog1983I remember this "graphical" adventure game took a horribly long time to load - and the depressing ?LOAD ERROR would often appear after half an hour of waiting !(16K expansion - written in basic". I never got very far and got pretty frustrated about 10 screens in. The code was not protected so I guess I could have sneaked through that way ! minimizeimageminimize
Zap! Microwave1983The game has been reviewed in contemporary magazines but is still missing, or it was released under alternate names. Those Zap games that are known and available do not match with the one that was reviewed.***

[48]***If you pass 1st screen, you'll it's NOT an action/reflex game...
It's 'cocktail' of Arcade Hits - 2nd level is 'Berzek', 3rd 'Space Invader', and 4th (most challenging) is version (pretty original) of 'Phoenix'
(note:at least on ZX Spectrum)

Wunda Walter!! Interceptor Software1984

[15]***A frustratingly difficult game but one that draws you back for another go. It teases you with a snapshot of the four zones you can reach in the game while you are on the title screen, although I only ever got to the start of the third once or twice.

Level 1 sees grandma's teeth on a mission to gobble you up so you have to keep moving, while avoiding the dangers on the scrolling landscape and trying to collect some flashing treasures for points.

Where as level 2, in a snow setting sees Walter being hounded by a Jack frost type character coming up from behind.

Not sure if I would have ever played it so much if it weren't for wanting to know what level 3 and 4 were like, as it is such a tough game. Discovering this recently and I find I'm still desperate to get a little further, the guys at Interceptor did a pretty good job with this game I'd say!

Ultima: Escape from Mount Drash Sierra On-Line1983A SierraVenture game. Published on cassette. A simple maze game with monster encounters written in BASIC. This is not a 'real' Ultima game. Sierra simply added 'Ultima' to the title in an attempt to increase sales. Richard Garriott was not aware of this title. On the cassette it also said "Ultima™ of Lord British". The "Ultima" trademark belonged to Richard Garriott and it would seem that Sierra illegally used it.

Keith Zabalaoui did the cover art for the first California Pacific Computer Co. version of Akalabeth.
