Champion Boxing | Sega | 1983 | A colorful boxing game with two buttons: one for punching, and one for scrolling through a list of punches to use (jab, straight, or uppercut). You might think this would be cumbersome; however, you'll likely never use anything except the straight, so it doesn't matter. Not a bad game, but I still prefer Boxing on the Atari 2600. Champion Pro Wrestling | Sega | 1985 | A simplistic wrestling game similar to the earlier Tag Team Wrestling, albeit not quite as much fun. Play as the hero team, consisting of parodies of Antonio Inoki and Hulk Hogan, against the masked heel team. Although characters are much larger than in Tag Team and can jump, duck, and attack without grappling first, they are limited to only moving forward and backwards, which is extremely restrictive. Control is a bit sluggish, as well. [Jacquismo] | labelimageminimize |
