Styx | Windmill Software | 1983 | I was suprised to find this surely once commercial game amidst many shareware/freeware games on a CD-ROM from Softgold from around 1994. On the cover the box only claims to have [game=#43157]Tennis Cup 2[/game] as commercial software on it ("Topshots on CD - Tennis Cup 2"); and besides that over 400 MB of freeware games and tools. We will never find out, but I wonder if this is a typical case of a company publishing a freeware collection without really having taken their time to thoroughly check the games to be free or not. | labelimageminimize |

Maniax | Kingsoft | 1988 | Couldn't find anything about a DOS version of this game so far on the internet. No disk image and not even listed anywhere. But I can definitely say it exists and remember playing it many years ago. Sadly the 5 1/4 disk of my original copy is no longer working so I can't make screenshots (or even dump the files somewhere). So for the time being the box scan of my owned copy must function as the only "proof" of its existence I can provide. | labelimageminimize |
