Meantime Interplay1992Set in the same universe as Wasteland and using the same engine. Though gameplay is similar, plot and story have virtually no connection to Wasteland.
The player travels through time getting help from and recruiting famous people. So as not to alter history, these are famous people who met their end under mysterious circumstances, such as Amelia Earhart or Cyrano de Bergerac (yes, he was real, and he did have a rather large nose).
Meantime didn't have a traditional 'big bad' enemy type as most RPGs do. Rather, there is a party vs. party battle with the player's group chasing and fixing history where the evil group has broken it. It was unknown but theorized that the enemy party was made up of historic villains (Jack the Ripper and John Wilkes Booth for examples).

Originally began as an Apple ][ game. It was 75% complete when the project was canceled. However, the existing project was later ported to DOS and close to release. But it was once again canceled after Ultima VII was published and the old project was seen as far graphically inferior.

A map editor was created. This allowed designers at Interplay who didn't know assembly language to create and edit game areas. All Wasteland team members had to know assembly to create and edit.

Pepper's Adventures In Time  Sierra On-Line1993The Original Concept: William C. Davis credit is incorrect.
The concept was provided by the Sierra VP of Development/Creative Director, Bill Davis, a.k.a. William R. Davis.
The credit should read Original Concept: Bill Davis, I don't know who William C. Davis is.

Fermion - Mirai kara no Hōmonsha  ? (silky's)1994The title reads approximately Fermion - Visitor from Future.***Minimum:
* DOS 5.0
* 560 kB memory
* 64 kB EMS memory
* 640x480 display
* 3.5" floppy drive
* mouse***The future isn't so bright. Pollution has severely weakened Earth and all of it's children, including humankind. Human DNA is too weak to reproduce itself and scientists are desperately trying to revive the human DNA. But every attempt fails, even the desperate attempt to fuse Human and Animal DNA turns out to create mutants that run amok.

Everything seems hopeless. But suddenly, scientists detect a space-time displacement (Forgive me, my SF knowledge isn't too keen.), a gap in time. The gap will hold for a couple of days, and during which people may be sent through time.

Your mission as a Half-Human, Half-Feline, mutant-hunter Conny, is to back in time to the present (the late 20th century) and recover samples of healthy human DNA. Samples you choose to collect are up to you. The method of collecting? That's classified.

Tom Long: The Time Adventure McCain (Promotion Software)1994This German adventure served as a promotion game for the food company McCain. It is only available in german language. Tom's girlfriend is trapped in a computer game and only he can free them. The graphics are very like LucasArts' Day of the Tentacle. The puzzles are well made, but the dialogue can be sometimes very confusing. labelimagesubject

Time Commando Activision (Adeline Software)1996As I understand the descriptions of the game, there's no actual time travel involved, but the whole thing takes place in a virtual reality (cyberspace) infected by a virus, a combat simulator for forms of combat from across the ages.***Comes on the same CD as the Windows version. labelimageminimize
Chasm - The Rift Megamedia;GT Interactive (WizardWorks Software;Action Forms)1997Minimum:
* MS-DOS 5.0
* 486 DX4-100 CPU
* VGA/SVGA GPU
* 16 MB RAM
* 75 MB HD space

Recommended:
* Pentium CPU
* VESA GPU***Latest version: 1.04 (as of ?)***Chasm - The Rift is a Quake like game that had many features unseen untill it's release, yet fell short to games like Quake and Hexen 2. The engine is almost exact to Quake's, yet excedes it in being able to blow off your enemies arms and head, environmental effects like rain etc. However, it's lack of hardware acceleration (OpenGL etc) support seemed it's biggest shortcoming.
