DTO Software began releasing shareware for the Amiga in 1992. The first release was Starbase 13, a graphic adventure game. Starbase 13 reached #1 in the Public Domain chart of Amiga Format after a favourable review in that magazine.

The follow-up to Starbase 13 was The Lost Prince, with an improved game engine and a change in setting. From these games a generic graphic adventure system was developed, to be released independently. This system was GRAC, the GRaphic Adventure Creator, DTO Software's most significant release to date. GRAC was a hugely successful licenceware product, with very positive reviews in Amiga Format and CU Amiga magazines, among others, along with another #1 position in the Amiga Format PD chart.

Along with GRAC came further games. Lethal Formula was a short demonstration game which was Public Domain. Epsilon 9 was the licenceware sequel to Starbase 13.

After GRAC, things became 3D. A demo of the (never finished) Cold Blood, a DOOM style game, got a contract with Vulcan Software for commercial release of the full game. But by then the Amiga games market was on a downhill slide, and a lack of time to design levels meant that Cold Blood became the 3D Game Creator, with an ever receeding release date. Then Vulcan Software stopped producing Amiga products altogether, and DTO Software was also shifting to the PC. The 3D Game Creator, in its functional but unfinished state, is now available for download from these pages.
The newest DTO Software release is a demo of a 3D graphics engine for the PC, with 3D accelerator support via DirectX.

Will there be future releases? Who knows...
