A developer and publisher that had the goal of porting games to Linux (they produced no original material themselves). Closed down in 2001 due to bankruptcy, a notable indicator of the existing potential video game market on Linux of the time, though despite this failure they are attributed to sparking a wave of Linux game development since.
However, they were influential in contributing to various game related projects other than the games they ported, such as aiding with the development of Simple DirectMedia Layer and were the ones to start the OpenAL project which became somewhat popular cross-platform audio middleware since.
It is known for Call to Power, Descent, Deus Ex, Heavy Gear, Heretic and HeXen, Heroes of Might and Magic, Might and Magic, Myth, Postal, Quake, Sid Meier's Civilization, SimCity, Soldier of Fortune, Tribes, Unreal Tournament
