Note that the original English version of Hellgate has been abandoned and Hanbitsoft continued to develop their release beyond that. They re-published their version internationally, but it has been changed noticeably from its origins and there is no update/upgrade path for original Hellgate: London owners to the Hanbitsoft version. The core game is still very similar, but Hanbitsoft's version resembles MMOs much more closely in terms of features (though still lacks open areas where all players fight for ).
