A true role-playing game for a change (focus on actual role-play instead of console RPG hack&slash xp mongering), and one where you learn only the things you practice, e.g. you learn to recognize herbs by harvesting them and using them, you learn to use swords by participating in combat with them, you learn to skin animals by... skinning animals, etc. There's no generic experience points to distribute after each level (there aren't even any real levels for that matter).
