Description

Randar II is a short RPG published in 1989 by Compile as a special DiskStation issue. The story is about a planet called Alkali, of which all the women mysteriously vanished. Space detective Randar sets out to solve the mystery and bring back the vanished women.
The game can be divided in four different sections. The first section consists of the villages and towns on the planets, where items and equipments can be bought and information can be gathered. The second section is the open field of the planet, which need to be explored. The third consists of a dungeon or cave and the fourth is the space map, where space travels can be made.
The battles are turn-based. Simple recovery items can be used, magic spells aren't incorporated in the game. Attacks can be made using either a sword or a gun.
An English translation of the game was made in 2000 by the MSX group Sargon.
