This combination pack offers the same side-scrolling action that the series has been known for. Metal Slug 4 is set in the year 20XX, and shows the team blasting through Morden's forces yet again as they attempt to prevent a computer virus that is allowing Morden to hijack the military hardware of all the world's armed forces. Comparably, Metal Slug 5 pits the team against a paramilitary group known as the Ptolemic Army, which has stolen a disc comprising secrets about the Metal Slug program. Both games offer hidden areas and alternate paths, screen-dominating boss battles, and an outlandish lineup of weapons and vehicles. Metal Slug 4 & 5 both offer four characters from which to choose. Metal Slug characters Marco and Fio return in both games, while positions three and four are filled by new fighters Nadia and Trevor in Metal Slug 4 and Tarma and Eri in Metal Slug 5. The action takes place on land, air and sea, giving you a total of 11 levels between the two games.
