Personal review

"Kiki Kaikai: Dotou Hen" is a heavily modified version of the arcade game Kiki Kaikai. You control a cute girl which must rescue several gods from evil bosses. The game is playable, but the overworld is very monotonous looking and very maze-ish and nearly impossible to map out. You have to find caves (which all have the same layout) with bosses and kill them. While the arcade version is a pure shoot and run-style game (just with cute characters) the ammo in the FDS game is somewhat limited. When you are out of ammo you have to rely on a whip-like melee weapon. While being a mediocre game, the box this game came in is definitely not. It contained a few toy statues and is very unusual in shape and size, which I like pretty much.
