Skeleton | Atariage | 2002 | Skeleton was released as a ROM for download. Skeleton+ is an enhanced version on a cartridge published by [[link:http://www.atariage.com Atariage]]. Enhancements include life counter, kill counters, undead locater (radar), 5 or 10 skeletons per level (difficulty select), more difficulty settings. Skeleton+ is one of the few stereo games for the Atari VCS. Its a little known fact that the Atari VCS was designed to have two built-in speakers for stereo sound! But Atari cheeped out just before the circuit boards were manufactured, but after the plastic cases were finished. This is why the original VCS has two 'vents' on them, they were supposed to have speakers behind them. An Atari can be easily modified to produce stereo out. | Atari 2600 | labelimageminimize |

Strat-O-Gems Deluxe | AtariAge | 2005 | Rotate and drop the stack of gems so that 3 or more of the same color form a row horizontally, vertically, and/or diagonally. Any gems left floating will fall and possibly make more rows. If there are any gems left above the line after a drop (and subsequent row removals), the game is over. Chain reactions result in many more points. Gems change shape for each level. A wildcard stack of gems will appear occasionally; they can form rows with any color, even multiple colors at once. An explosive gem will appear occasionally too; it will destroy every gem of the color it is dropped on. This game uses the AtariVox for voice throughout the game. Notably, it will count the combos as they occur. It is also used to save instant replays and high scores. It will automatically save the best performance of the demo mode and show it first from that point on.

You failed to mention that Strat-o-gems actually uses the tone generator portion of the Speakjet to enhance the music/soundfx.
It does? That would be news to me, and I wrote the thing. >:*3
[Zerothis] | Atari 2600 | labelimagesubject |
