Booby Kids | Nichibutsu | 1987 | "Booby Kids" (yeah that title is great) is a typical "collect all items to open the exit door" game. It is an arcade port, but the levels are all new and the gameplay adds something here and there (the TG-16 version [game=#10564]Cratermaze[/game] is a much more faithful port). You can trap enemies by digging holes. There are some extra items that slow down enemies or make you invincible for a short period of time. Sometimes you must bomb your way free to open up ways and find hidden items. The levels consist of different times zones, starting with a prehistoric-theme and ending with a futuristic setting. While the graphics change in each time zone the general gameplay elements stay the same. "Booby Kids" is worth to check out if you like maze / action games. | NES | labelimageminimize |

Cosmic crash explosion.***Hi there New and old timer game Freaks. I'm here to give my comments on old a game classic called GALIVAN COSMO POLICE, developed by Japanese game developers Nichibutsu in 1985. Personally for me it was a very exciting and adventurous game, combined with the elements of hand to hand combat, weaponary and comedy, although the stages would be repeated, it would be come challenging at times an excellent game in it's era. I was so addicted to this game that i would practically stand for hours, bout 13 or so and just continually go hard at it, so ho old was i when playing this game 13 to 14 years of age. I wish i could have this game again, i'm not so sure if i can play it on PC, or probably have to play on the old coin op arcade machines. Hey if anyone knows how i can obtain a copy of this game classic, please send me information and your thoughts about this favorite classic of mine, it would be much appreciated THANK YOU. Cosmo Police Galivan II: Arrow of Justice | Nichibutsu | 1993 | SNES | minimizeimageminimize | |
Cosmo Police: Galivan | Nichibutsu | 1988 | "Cosmo Police Galivan" is a Metroid-style action adventure game with some RPG elements like killing monsters for xp to increase your Max life and power. The game has been changed quite a lot compared to the original arcade version, which was less "adventure" and more "action" oriented. That does not mean that the Famicom version in its core is still an action game. Most importantly it plays well enough to be enjoyable. It consists of 6 levels each being rather non-linear. Graphics and sound are good as well. | NES | labelimageminimize |

Crazy Climber | Nichibutsu | 1986 | Crazy Climber is a port of an old arcade game from 1980. Nichibutsu intended to emulate the control scheme of the original arcade version and thus the Famicom version is also controlled with two controllers. On top of that they put two stick-like addons for the standard Famicom controllers into the game box. Since the arcade version was already a couple of years old, the Famicom version looks really good compared to the original and it has more levels as well. Four very difficult levels can only be unlocked when you find all secret rooms/keys in the eight normal levels. The game is not bad, but they should have simplified the controls a bit. | NES | labelimageminimize |
