Katamari Damacy  Namco2004The game's plot concerns a diminutive prince on a mission to rebuild the stars, constellations and Moon, which his father, the King of All Cosmos, has accidentally destroyed. This is achieved by rolling a magical, highly adhesive ball called a katamari around various locations, collecting increasingly larger objects, ranging from thumbtacks to schoolchildren to mountains, until the ball has grown large enough to become a star. The game falls under both the puzzle and action game genres, since strategy as well as dexterity are needed to complete a mission, but the game is fundamentally peaceful and somewhat meditative.

Katamari Damacy's story, characters, and settings are bizarre and heavily stylized, rarely attempting any semblance of realism, though the brands and items used are based on those current in Japan during the game's production.

Sacrifice  Interplay (Shiny Entertainment)20002009-08-19 on Steam, by Interplay (lang: eng, fre, ita, spa, ger)***Some may notice that Charnel is depicted on the game boxes, but in one of the boxes the character facing away is actually one of James' champions instead of the protagonist of the story, Eldred.***resource harvesting — conquering the mana fountains as without them your spell casting is slowed down, and harvesting the souls of the dead.
non-human — although superficially humanoid and even human, closer examination reveals features definitely not part of human physiology. Also, there doesn't seem to be any mention of humans.
anti-hero protagonist — not very obvious, but he wages the war of the gods simply to bide his time and gather strength for his own purposes, regardless of the God he has chosen to serve. Also in the backstory that he relates to Mithras.
adv-deeds — these "deeds" are not revealed until you actually complete them and the rewards are given at the end of each mission. Since they're optional and the rewards depends on the mission, these may or may not make the late game easier.***Comes on single CD which can be used to install unlimited number of multiplayer-only "spawns" and singular single-player installation (though I didn't see anything that would limit even that).***The game may fail to start up if you have total swap file size much larger than 2 GiB, although it may in truth require the total memory (physical and swap) be less than 4 GiB. The error message produced by this states you need at least 128 MB swap file.***Latest version: patch #3 (as of 2001-05?)
