Battle K-Road Psikyo;Jaleco1994Battle K-Road is a no-rules versus fighting game, where people from multiple disciplines fight to see who's the best at punching and kicking.

Fourteen characters are available, although they go in seven pairs using the same fighting style: karate, boxing, muai thai, sambo, sumo, jujitsu, and a pair of cyborgs because why not.

The gameplay is semi-realistic, like a mix between Karate Champ and Virtua Fighter, and has a weird flow: knocking the opponent to the ground halts the match so that they can get back up, but the game still uses a stamina bar like Street Fighter II.
[Moby Games]***Move List for Battle K-Road
1 General
To many expert players of Street Fighter or King of Fighters, Battle K-Road's
system is a bit stranger. However, it is innate interesting and beginner friendly: every character in the game uses the SAME move pattern but to carry out her/his UNIQUE special moves.

2 The CHARGE-AND-RELEAE moves
To use special moves, you must firstly PRESS and KEEP down the button of heavy kick or punish for about 1 second to charge power, and then release it UP to carry moves out. Combined the button releasing with forward, downward or
neutral stick direction, every character has 6 kinds of special moves totally.

3 Down the rival at a 'real time'
In most street fighter clones, the player or NPC is knocked down only when
their health gauge is totally destroyed by the enemy. Unlike them, Battle K-Road has a knocking down system in a real time. When you do enough damage
the enemy in a short time period, you may knock him/her down at once. Though
this knock-down will not stop he/she from standing up and sticking to fight until being finally KOed, it is much more similar to common human condition then traditional ones.

5 Rumors and Facts
(1) In real world, ruthless tournament like K-road multi style fighting is banned in every main country. So the ends of the game are all a little absurd to indicate its unreality.

(2) When the game was firstly commercially presented, it met with a strike of
arcade shops in Japan.

(3) Besides this game, its manufacturer,Psycho, has only two fightring games.
The other is the [[game:Fallen Angel]].

Daraku Tenshi: The Fallen Angels Psikyo1998Daraku Tenshi: The Fallen Angels is one of the most beautiful 2D fighters Ive seen. Unfortunately, I played it on the MAME emulator and it has no sound, no character endings, and is in Japanese.
Apparently, the city the characters are in has broken off from the mainland during an earthquake, and everyones fighting to stay alive. The main boss is Carlos, who fights with a sword, and his bodyguard Trigger who shoots at you.
The gameplay is great, except for the fact that the AI doesn't seem to be very good. Anyone with any standard fighting game experience should make it through in a relatively short amount of time. The backgrounds and character animations are som of the best Ive seen. All in all, if you enjoy fighters and have a chance to play this game, give it a look.

Strikers 1945 Psikyo1995In the summer of 1945, the Second World War was drawing to a close. The world regained its contingent peace; it was highly apparent that this peace will last. However, shortly thereafter, each nation's higher military department picked up on rumors about an enigmatic international organization 'CANY' secretly taking over military forces, implementing them with futuristic weaponry, and planning to take over the entire world. Each restless nation quickly suggested to the secret Allied headquarters to secretly pick out distinguished fighter aircraft from around the world and call together pilots to form the special military force called Strikers in the fight against 'CANY.' The fire cover of the last worldwide great war, now concealed in the shadows of history cutting, is revealed once again.
[official description]***Strikers 1945. On the surface, this looks like an ordinary vertically scrolling shooter in the same vein as Capcom's 194x series. You play as one of six WWII fighter planes from different countries. The stages are based on various WWII battle locations all over the world. This game even has a stage where you fight against American fighter planes, which seems taboo to American players. At the end of each stage, you fight a boss, which include a huge Japanese battleship, a giant German zeppelin, and an Air Fortress.
This is where the normalcy ends.

The WWII planes are each equipped with futuristic weapons, which include homing missiles, auto-aim vulcan cannons, and lasers. These weapons may seem like overkill against WWII military forces. However, wait until you reach the bosses! Bosses begin their first attack phase as standard military craft and sea vessels. During the second phase and above, the bosses either transform into huge futuristic mechs or eject them. This phase transition is animated very smoothly. My personal favorite boss is the German zeppelin that releases a huge eagle mech. That mech then releases a final ship that attacks you.

The first four stages, which are shuffled randomly at the beginning of play, take place over ordinary WWII battle locations in different parts of the world. The 5th stage is a battle against a huge fortress. The 6th stage is a high speed level that takes you into and beyond the Earth's stratosphere into outer space. The final two levels take place in outer space. You fight against spacecraft and huge spaceships a la Viper Phase 1 in Stage 7. In the final stage, the 8th Stage, you encounter alien creatures, such as giant space crabs (no kidding). The final boss battle is against a morphing alien named C.A.N.Y. (if you know Japanese, then you can get the pun).

Each plane has a special attack, called a Formation, that is unleashed by holding the Fire button for a while, and then releasing. For some planes, with each power-up you collect, you gain small wingmen that performs the Formation attack. Additionally, each plane has its own unique bomb attack. They vary greatly in deploy times, coverage, and rate of damage.

Strikers 1945 II Psikyo1997This is an excellent sequel to the popular Strikers 1945. More of the futuristic mechs transformed from ordinary military vessels and outer space aliens are rampant here! Graphics are much better in Strikers 1945 II, utilizing a larger color depth (262,144 colors). Music is now mostly adrenaline-pumping rock tunes that I consider better than the original's soundtrack. You can select from six total planes. The P-38 Lightning returns with five new WWII planes.

Strikers 1945 II introduces some new features.

The special attacks have been further diversified. Now, each plane has three levels of special weapon power, called the Supershot. You charge up your plane's Supershot special attack by shooting down enemies. A meter on the bottom of the screen will gradually rise and notify you of what power your Supershot will be if you use it. To use the Supershot, you hold the Fire button for a while, and then release. Additionally, each plane has its own unique bomb attack. In Strikers 1945 II, most of the planes' Bomb Attack consist of support fighters that shoot the enemy while providing you with cover from enemy bullets by absorbing them. One of the planes' Bomb attack is a massive missile!
