The Mansion of Hidden Souls  Sega1994Not a bad game - a little weird, though. You're apparently trying to save your sister from becoming a butterfly when you wander into a mansion and get caught up in one of those doom-and-gloom plot things. The music is haunting - a bit reminiscient of MYST, for those of you that've played (who hasn't, by now?) - and the graphics, while they aren't absolutely stunning, are pretty good. labelimageminimize

[20]***SEGA's attempt to turn Golden Axe into a Street Fighter-style brawler failed miserably. It was more special move-oriented than previous games, but not enough so to compete with the true games of the genre. The name was clearly inspired by the famous 'Duel' game mode that featured in most console ports.

The one saving grace was that Gillius Thunderhead is playable. The only games to include him as playable are the original, the Genesis-only Golden Axe 2, and this game. It appeared a year later on the SEGA Saturn, which was similarly doomed to obscurity.
