English billiards (Pool) - 1975 to 2022
Cue sport that originates from England.

Straight Pool - 1977 to 1997

Shuffleboard(Deck Shuffleboard;Floor Shuffleboard;Table Shuffleboard) - 1978 to 1986
Players push weighted discs with cues down a narrow court attempting to have them come to rest on marked scoring areas & knock opponent's discs in to lower scores.

8-ball pool game (stripes and solids) - 1981 to 2008
The most common pool. A player cannot sink the 8-ball until their ½ of the other 14 (either stripes or solids) are sunk. Sinking the 8 early loses.

9-ball pool game - 1981 to 2008
9 balls must be struck in order but not sank such. Because it is faster but no less skill needed, its currently favored in USA televised tournaments.

Snooker - 1981 to 2009
Popular Cue sports variant.

3-ball pool game - 1983 to 2005
3 objects balls are racked and players take turns sinking them with as few shots as possible. Involves more luck than other pool games.

Trick shot - 1983 to 2002
A shot played on billiards table which seems impossible to perform. As a competition sports, trick shot is known as artistic pool.

10-ball pool game - 1993 to 1997
Basically 9-ball with 10 balls. Players take turns striking the lowest #ed ball on the table 1st & scoring points based on the # of the ball(s) sank.

4-ball pool game - 1993 to 2002
Played with 2 cue balls, 2 object balls & no pockets. Points awarded for ball strikes. Best possible shot is every ball striking the other 3 (6 hits).

Kelly Pool game - 1993 to 2008
2–15 players, 4–6 optimal. Each gets a secret ball #. The lowest # must be stuck for every shot. The winner is the 1st to have their # sunk [i]by anyone[/i].

Speed Pool - 1993 to 1994
Also called Speedball. A solitary pool game.
