Note that this does NOT include games where this happens "after you hit level 50" or such. If it doesn't need it in the beginning, it doesn't need it later on either. That said, this does NOT include games where you solo large part of the game, and later start working in parties, those have no party focus in the sense this tag is for (they're indistinguishable from "solo MMOs").
Nor is this for MMOs that include only certain enemies that you can't defeat alone (so called "raid mob/boss" characters). This is simple enough to understand, simply ask yourself is there any benefit in playing in a party even when beating up basic mobs. If your answer is something along the line of "duh, no", then you're playing solo MMO. World of Warcraft is commonly claimed to be a party MMO, but as far as I can tell people party up only for raid mobs or other boss characters in it.
