Editor note

As a copy protection, all manufactured disks contained an unformulated section. If present, the game played normally. A simple copy to a fully formatted disk would cause all battles to be lost. The German publisher overlooked this subtle detail and produced copies of the game with fully formatted disks. Thus all legal buyers of Ultima VI for Atari 8-bit purchased an unplayable game.
