Power-up gained for grinding each enemy type

I was wondering if anyone knew a name for this character advancement mechanic.

Seen in at least these games:
* Secret of Grindea – permanent buff gained for killing large number of same kind of enemies
* Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night – you gain a magical trinket specific to the enemy type you defeat
* Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow – supposedly same as Bloodstained

In Secret of Grindea these are monster cards. In Bloodstained these are shards. No idea what they're called in Dawn of Sorrow.

Seems to be related to achievements and gameprogress.

It's sort of like achievements, yes, but ones that have actual gameplay impact, and not actually shared across all playthroughs (achievements are account/install rather than playthrough bound... usually).
