A social simulation game. Sort of a primitive version of The Sims. The player and the other characters call each other and talk about 3rd parties expression their opinions of them as strong positive, slight positive, neutral, slight negative, strong negative. Opinions characters have about each other form even in the absence of if all of those characters have not interacted yet.

Chris Crawford wanted to broaden videogames subjects to include more than the prevalent combat and sports games of the day. Social interaction was not the main objective of any games at the time. Gossip is considered to be "unpublished" but cartridges were produced and sold in limited numbers. The social interaction engine was improved and was used in the the later games Excalibur and Though Trust and Betrayal: The Legacy of Siboot.
