USSR involvement in the armed conflict in 1950-1953 was non-existent or extremely minimal as far as I can tell, most fighting on that side was done by North Korea itself and People's Republic of China, though USSR may have supplied either or both of the two.
Also note that the war is not called civil war by all due to massive participation from both China and US.

The Chinese troops were an advantage of numbers and determination (With improvised camouflage, they would remain motionless an undetected, often standing for extended periods) only, they were not as well equipped and supplied as the North Korean soldiers. They faced 616,099 fully modern, trained and equipped forces from the United States, United Kingdom, Turkey, Canada, Australia, France, Greece, Colombia, Thailand, Netherlands, Philippines, Belgium, New Zealand, South Africa, and Luxembourg. And 590,911 trained and equipped forces from the Republic of Korea ('South Korea').
