About Korean War (Korean Conflict;抗美援朝戰爭;抗美援朝战争;朝鮮戰爭;朝鲜战争)

USSR involvement in the armed conflict in 1950-1953 was non-existent or extremely minimal as far as I can tell, most fighting on that side was done by North Korea itself and People's Republic of China, though USSR may have supplied either or both of the two.

Also note that the war is not called civil war by all due to massive participation from both China and US.

US air men would vehemently disagree with you; since they faced Soviet planes, Soviet artillery, Soviet missiles, and Soviet trained pilots and personnel. Likewise, infantry men and tanks, bombs, firearms, etc, and their operators.

North Korea began the war with 379 T-34-85 tanks, 150 Yak fighters, 78 Yak trainers, 114 other fighter aircraft, 78 bomber aircraft, 110 attack bombers, 200 artillery pieces, 35 reconnaissance aircraft, 261,282 soldiers officially, and several small warships. Ammunition had not been supplied by the USSR at the beginning of the war. All but 261,000 soldiers were supplied by the USSR. It is unknown how many USSR troops were there, but is known that 282 were (by the bodies). China initially sent about 200,000 unequipped troops (not even ammunition, but offered some supplies later), later about 700,000 more and some pilots. The Chinese weapons and aircraft, except for some trainer model, were Soviet. The USSR supplied food and ammo. The 926,000 illequipped, overextended, Chinese troops with insufficient communication equipment (907,000 of which were killed, wounded or captured) were the only 'significant advantage' not contributed by the USSR. The Chinese troops were an advantage of numbers and determination (With improvised camouflage, they would remain motionless an undetected, often standing for extended periods) only, they were not as well equipped and supplied as the North Korean soldiers. They faced 616,099 fully modern, trained and equipped forces from the United States, United Kingdom, Turkey, Canada, Australia, France, Greece, Colombia, Thailand, Netherlands, Philippines, Belgium, New Zealand, South Africa, and Luxembourg. And 590,911 trained and equipped forces from the Republic of Korea ('South Korea').
