Editor note
Originally titled "Zork", a nonsensical hacker word. When professionally published, Infocom decided to use a 'normal' name, "Dungeon". But after several versions of Dungeon Ie and Dungeon II were published, they reverted to the "Zork" title. This port of the original Zork is called "Dungeon" to distinguish it as the port of the original Zork for mainframe computers. It was officially ported to Linux and published by Infocom in 2002 via download. Due to limitations of home PCs when Zork was first created, only parts of it made it into each game. Players of Zork I, Zork II, and Zork III will recognize the various elements if they play this version.
