Description

The NSS Chess Program is an early chess game and the first system known to have won against a human opponent, albeit an amateur just introduced to the game. It elaborated on the design of The Berstein Program by adding "branch and bound' process which allowed the computer to consider fewer moves to determine its move.

Written in a high-level language called the IPL (Information Processing Language).
