Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space is a game that lets you relive the US-Soviet Space Race. Choose one of the two superpowers, and try to beat your opponent to the Moon! The game is complex and difficult, but it has a colorful, friendly interface and is completely addictive to those who fantasize about space travel.

In your path to the Moon, you have several options. The game lets you fly the historical Apollo/Soyuz approach, or you could try to get there in a Gemini/Voskhod (there were proposals to take a Gemini to the Moon). You could fly a minishuttle there if you like the idea of preempting the Space Shuttle as man's first reusable spacecraft. Or, you could fly a direct ascent capsule to the Moon and back, just like they did in the old sci fi stories. The choice is yours--each method has its own advantages and drawbacks, and requires a different strategy.

You can find more information on the game at www.geocities.com/raceintospace/.
