The game consists of 3 parts that must be loaded seperately. In the first part (Level 1) you walk from left to right, jump and shoot enemies. The second part (Level 2-3) is a standard horizontal shoot'em up sequence. The third part (Level 4) is similar to the first one except that you now have to climb ladders as well. The other parts are often referred to as Arkos II and Arkos III, but they are actually just part of the same game.
