Official description

This was the first game in the Eggerland puzzle series to be released in North America. After the love of his life, Lala, is kidnapped by the Great Devil and taken to a haunted castle, our hero Lolo sets out to rescue her. The journey is perilous because the Great Devil's fortress is guarded by a massive army. But Lolo has a few tricks up his sleeve, including a Magic Shot that turns enemies into eggs and an Emerald Framer that shields him from attacks. Combining clever environmental puzzles with tricky enemies and an engaging style, ADVENTURES OF LOLO is a true classic.

Some password decoding:
Each letter represents a hexadecimal character (0-F). The sequence if LOLOcode would be BCDGHJKLMPQRTVYZ. Adding 1 to the first byte and subtracting 1 from the second byte will tell you the password for the next level.

If you would rather do arithmetic in decimal, here is a reminder on how to convert a two digit hexadecimal to decimal:
(16 × the left digit) + (1 × the right digit)
OxAA=(16×10)+(1×10)=170=QQ
And convert decimal (less than 256) to two digit hexadecimal:
Integer divide by 16 for the left digit. The remainder is the right digit.
170/16=10 and remainder 10=A and A=Q and Q

Here is an example of finding the password for level 8-1 if you have the password for 7-5:

Here is an example of finding the password for level 5-3 if you have the password for 6-3:

The sequence starts at BBBV and ends at GCVT and does not extend in either direction.
