Another World  Delphine Software1991There was only one chance out of one million that such an accident could happen. As for the consequences, nobody could have foreseen them. Certainly not Lester, who finds himself lost in an unknown and utterly hostile world. However, it is in this other world that he will rediscover the genuine meaning of freedom won by fighting, the feeling that each day is a new victory...***

[97]***The game allowed switching between PAL and NTSC and stretching the screen to fit independently. While this was intended to let the user display the image how they preferred on a 4:3 monitor or TV, it had the unintended effect of allowing square pixels and an undistorted image when viewed anamorphicly on a 16:10 monitor. The aspect ratios and letterboxing were intended, widescreen support was not, so the [gametag=widescreen]widescreen[/gametag] tag does not apply here.***

Virtua Fighter  Sega (Sega;Sega AM2)1994In ancient China, a powerful kung fu technique known as hakkyoku ken ("the Eight-Point Fist") was developed by the Imperial Guard.
This technique won great admiration and many followers. Around the time of the Second World War, the Japanese army developed their own hakkyoku ken techniques in order to create the ultimate fighting force.
Now, the only active master of hakkyoku ken - a young man named Akira Yuki - sets off to travel the world in search of enlightenment ... and worthy opponents.
He finds them in the World Fighting Tournament, where the strongest fighters have gathered to determine who stands supreme in the art of hand-to-hand combat.
Any and all techniques are allowed, as long as the contestants use no weapons but their own bodies. After weeks of intense dueling, seven other warriors remain.
Sarah Bryant and her brother Jacky, both skilled in sekken do ... Lau Chan and his daughter Pai, with their special variations of kung fu ... Jeffry McWild, master of the violent Greek fighting style known as pancratium ... the ruthless professional wrestler Wolf Hawkfield ... the ninja Kagemaru and his mysterious techniques ...
All eight of these fighters have arrived to test their methods and their might against each other. Who will stand victorious?***

Clue  Hasbro Interactive (3T Productions)1996 Windowslabelminimizeminimize
Clue  Hasbro Interactive (3T Productions)1996Clue is a full-motion video adaptation of the popular board game of the same name. It is an amalgamation of two earlier CD-i titles where (up to six) players take turns investigating a mansion where a murder happened, uncovering clues and evidence to reveal the assassin. There are three storylines with four difficulty levels, each with a unique solution making it altogether twelve different mysteries: Deadly Patent (from Clue), The Road to Damascus and Blackmail (both from Clue 2: The Mysteries Continue).

The gameplay remains identical to the original games and stays near the board game: During each turn, the player can do two moves: moving between rooms, interrogating a suspect, watching a flashback video right before the murder (depends on the room) or examining an item. The goal is to be able to name the murderer, the crime scene and the murder weapon.

Dragons with wings are normally exectued because they are deemed to be a bad omen by the citizens. In the War with the Empire, Mecchania has begun to examine the ancient ways rather than to try to fight a futile war using technological advances. The Empire is technologically more advanced. Randy, the hero, and his newfound friend, the dragon he saved, want to turn the tide.

NiGHTS Into Dreams...  Sega;Samsung (Sonic Team;Sega AM3)1996When dream becomes soul-chilling nightmare, you're the key as you fight for Nightopia's sanity. Thought Artificial life, super-fluid views, realtime 3D, free character movement and supersonic speed were impossible?
Get real... Anything's possible in a dream!***NiGHTS into Dreams is possibly the most original game to ever grace any console.
NiGHTS is a creature of a children dream world called Nightopia. Nightopia is being threatened by the evil Wiseman, so NiGHTS gets help from two children to fight him, Claris and Elliot. You then play as them and as NiGHTS in their dreams.

The gameplay is simply a mix of puzzle, racing game concepts and flight. You fly around as NiGHTS with the analog stick and you collect a minimum of blue spheres within the time limit. The more spheres and extra stuff you get in the least time, the higher your score is.
When you got at least a C you can fight the boss of the area (every boss is defeated in a different way).

M will brief you on your mission objectives from London. Q Branch will support you with a supply of gadgets and weapons. Will you succeed?***The game creators discovered that grayscale textures were exponentially faster to render than RGB (color) textures. This also had the benefit of using less ROM memory. The vast majority of textures in GoldenEye are grayscale (in the hardware). Color is applied to these grayscale textures by applying colors to the vertexes bounding the textures when they are rendered.***

Messiah Interplay;SoldOut Software (Shiny Entertainment)1999Names of interest:
* Bob (the protagonist; diapered litttle angel/cherub)
* Prime Father (the antagonist)***posthumans - the Chots (devolved rather)
cannibalism - it is said the Chots eat their own. (Unverified if this is actually seen or if the player can perform this when possessing one of them.)

--- notes
religion-christian --- the most I can gather from this game is that there's a single god who sends out Bob the cherub down to Earth to fix things because satan or some other evil devil/demon is messing things up. This seems to be more as punishment for Bob than actually to save Earth. The focus of the game is humor, however, so the religious content may be only superficial.***Sex, Religion, Possession, Death

Bob is the scum of the Heavens, an angel in name only. He's been asked by the `Big Man´ Himself to rub out those "Screw Ups down on Earth". He has the power to possess anyone and use sinners to slay sinners. He can enter over 40 characters and control them to mutilate, sneak, impale, charm and creatively wipe out other vermin, but it takes cunning to decide who to possess...

* As Bob, you can possess and control any of the over 40 characters, including: Prostitutes, cops, behemoths, priests, bouncers, sub girls, bondage dancers, gigolos, demons, chots, welders, nuclear workers, medics, bartenders, dwarves, pimps, monsters, animals and much more!

* Over 10 different weapons, including: rocket propelled harpoons, needle guns, rocket launchers, flame throwers, grenades, stun guns.

* Use enemies as weapons.

* All characters have real skin covering their bones, resulting in skin that jiggles and stretches in all the right places.
