Fallout 3  Bethesda Softworks (Bethesda Game Studios)2008A spin and rebirth of the saga, brings back a desolate atmosphere but in FPS-packed-action; neverless, the VATS compensates incredibly for the turn-system action.
Sadly, the story empowers epicness over good story, with immortal characters an black/white characters in general (there are exceptions)
But is important for being the predecessor of Fallout: New Vegas, who is better in every way possible and retakes the old developers of Fallout 1 and 2.

Iron Sight Polarbit;Zeebo Brasil;Zeebo Inc. (Deion Mobile;Polarbit)2010Iron Sight offers a unique blend of action, strategy and simulation. The basic premise is deceivingly simple: destroy the enemy before he has a chance to destroy you! Attack with a large and varied range of weapons and power-ups: homing missiles, artillery, satellite support, cluster missiles and much more.

Iron Sight features an advanced AI – enemies respond to the current situation, value possible threats and weather conditions to select the appropriate weapon and utilize available terrain for cover. Beginners need not worry, however, as the game offers suitable difficulty settings for both newbies and battle-hardened veterans.

The campaigns take you through many different environments, from war-torn wastelands and frozen wastes to green grassland, all littered with the remains of a shattered civilization. Two separate single-player campaigns and multiplayer over Internet or hot-seat ensures hour-upon-hour of gameplay.***The waning years of the 21st century saw the world plunged into strife and unrest on an unimagined scale. The third global war ravaged cities and buried the earth beneath mounds of rubble and radioactive fallout. As natural resources were depleted and nations thrown into utter destitution, the conflict slowly wound down. When the dust settled it was clear that a new power had emerged victorious. A conglomerate of multinational corporations had acquired colossal wealth and influence by supplying the warring fractions with all manner of weapons and instruments of annihilation.

At first, humankind welcomed the stability ensured by the Corporation. After decades of constant warfare the world screamed for order and safety, which the Corporation was only too willing to supply. Slowly but surely civilization was rebuilt, at the cost of freedom and personal liberty. In the brave, new corporate world, citizens were monitored, scrutinized and controlled from the cradle to the grave. Mind-controlling drugs and a ruthless secret police made every attempt at resistance futile... or so it seemed.

Unbeknownst to the upper echelons of the Corporation, small bands of outlaws and rebels managed to see past their petty squabbles and unite into a efficient guerilla army. It was not long until war had yet again gripped the world; but this time it was a war of revolution, a war for freedom... a war for domination!

#59 - Jungles of Vietnam by Jeff Allen

With no mission previously defined, I started in a U.S. army barracks in Vietnam. Venturing out into the jungles and villages of Vietnam, I found many peasants (Peasant 1, Peasant2, etc.) and "Gooks" (Gook1, Gook2, etc.). The monster names and descriptions were of such a monotone flavor that I became bored and just started killing everybody, whether they were friend or not. This wasn’t too difficult to accomplish since I had a rocket launcher with a seemingly endless supply of rockets. No monster (including tanks and planes) withstood one attack from me. Realistic, maybe. Fun, no.

The mission, I later realized, was to get out of the army. I was not pleased with the way I had to do this. I believe an alternative method should have been provided; especially since the character I used does not condone the use of perception altering substances (drugs). Perhaps Mr. Allen was making a social comment with his adventure – but looking through his other adventures (The Sewers of Chicago, Master’s Dungeon and Lost Adventure) I rather doubt it.

In summary, this is a great text adventure for people who don’t like to read, like the adventure to do their thinking for them and are entranced with killing things in one blow.

Personally, I would not recommend this adventure to anyone, especially children.

Papo & Yo Minority Media2014Papo and Yo stars Quico, a young boy with an abusive, alcoholic father who has fled into a Brazilian urban slum where magical physics can be layered upon the physics of the real world. By passing through chalk drawn doors, Quico gains access to the magical layer. Passing back through a door can avoid threats and obstacles unique to the magical layer. For instance, manipulating a stack of cardboard boxes moves nearby large favela dwellings. This one mechanic alone is important commentary. Favela dwellings are sometimes regarded as a ramshackle collection of scrap plywood, corrugated metal, plastic sheets, and of course cardboard boxes. In reality they are thoughtfully designed, very sturdy reinforced steel, brick, concrete, tile roofed bunkers that are likely tougher than the average home in so called "developed countries". Favela dwellings can be given legs to walk around with. Staircases can be pulled out of walls with magical thread. Residents of the magical layer are not necessarily welcoming. One particularly important character is a giant monster Quico comes to love. A friendly and helpful father figure at times. But he has an addiction to poisonous frogs. When under their influence, or suffering withdrawal from them, this monster is an immediate and overwhelming threat to all surrounding life and property. The player will be directing Quico not just through puzzles, but in complex social interactions. I don't want to give too much away, but I'll just say this is not Disneyesque magic world. In this world, magic offers no salvation, it is subject to the whims and abuse of realistic human darkness. Outside of the magical layer, real life is likewise presented realistically harsh. Risen Deep Silver (Piranha Bytes)2009Un juego de acción/RPG que combina bastante bien la exploración y un ligero plataformeo con combates de corte sencilla.

Notable las diferentes reacciones de los diversos enemigos (agresivos, territoriales...)

7 sobre 10***The game left me feeling it was incomplete and that the main plot had a lot to be desired of. The side quests were however fairly entertaining and far better (and time consuming) than the main plot, giving this a bit of an impression on Elder Scrolls series which also thrives from side-quests rather than the main plot.

However, unlike most RPGs ever, player can actually fight and defeat end-game opponents fairly early on as combat is mainly based on player skill rather than numbers (attributes, statistics, etc.), though due to lacking numbers these will take a bit more time. Even the final boss is beatable with fairly low level character (maybe as low as 10) since it's not that dependent on player having any numerical advantages. Levels mainly making combat go faster because you deal more damage and makes mistakes more forgiving, but they don't really help you fight the enemy, since levels do not make you immune to shield breaks, enemy dodging, or cause you to dodge automatically.

Overall this is fairly enjoyable game, but loses most of its appeal once you have nothing else than the main plot to do (around chapter 2 or 3). The ending is also disappointing as it does not really solve the original issue at all. Variety of smaller bugs can make the game experience jarring and the jest spell not having any effect it is claimed to have (beyond making characters laugh) despite frequent claims that it does, does make the game feel rushed.***An epic story in an authentic world hand-crafted with an eye for detail and populated by "real", plausible characters. Rogue Beach, CA  Ananasblau Games2013Rogue Beach, CA is an attempt to create a surf games in the roguelike genre. No fancy 3D graphics, no stunts, no tunnels, just a beach, water, waves and you, represented by an @, with your board.
You gotta be mad to combine a very fast sport like surfing with the turn-based gameplay of roguelike (though some people just don’t get it on the first try), but I think it can be done with a few tricks. And let’s not forgot, a Rogue Beach will be the ideal game for anyone who’s too slow for surfing or would like to enjoy the wildlife while surfing.

First of all the grid will be a lot small than the usual 1x1m you find in roguelikes. Secondly the player will have a (very high) speed parameter so if she goes UP at high speed, a single hit on the LEFT button will only turn her a little and she will still go UP for a few turns, dozens of grid blocks.

Roguelikes are a lot about slaying monsters, creatures wouldn’t be expected on a beach. But, beaches offer alternatives: Sharks for example, but they would be very much to fight, with the surfer just being part the shark’s foodchain. Rocks, though very passive can be a hazard to anyone falling of their board. Lastely other surfers and even though this is a sad matter, violence between groups of surfers in order to claim their stakes on certain beaches or even waves, is not unseen.

The player start swith herr board on the beach, grab it, run for the water and paddle out. Danger might lie in waves crashing in. Once you passed the waves, wait for a good one (of course the waves are generated randomly, seeded, and how often does the map completely mutate in a roguelike?) and paddle like mad, jump and the Fun can start.

Players get scores for a good and long surf, a polished release will give score if some camera is waiting to get a shot of the surfers. Trade your score for some hot speedos, flashy bikinis, boards, magic mushrooms, or a tasty cheeseburger while you are at the beach.

Space Station 13  author2003Original source code seems to be lost. Though there's some evidence suggesting Goonstation is the original, mainly archive.org copies of the website linked in Byond's gamelistings for the main game.

The various servers have custom splash art that name the server in some similar fashion to Space Station 13 but there's usually no server that runs by the original name. Since the server names are player host provided, such are also unusable as alternate titles for this game even if they pop up in screenshots and similar.***Undefined elements:
* Forcing other characters to wear something, or undressing them.
* Randomly selected disaster for each "round", this includes randomly chosen player controlled antagonists. Multiple disasters can happen during same match.
* Pseudo-randomly selected characters for players, though some are actually selectable due to them being "free"
