Crush Sega (Midway)2007Unique to its genre, Crush introduces a valuable new puzzle gaming experience that is wholly suited to the PSP system. Set within a complex, hypnotic 3D world, players use the game's unique crush mechanic to "crush" the environment and transform it into a more simplified 2D platformer. Once flattened, players utilize the 2D space to move to new areas to solve otherwise impossible challenges, and unlock secret items that were previously unobtainable in the 3D environment. Players then "uncrush" the 2D environment and return to the 3D world. Designed for a wide and varied audience, Crush tells the story of Dan, a man with a lifetime of unresolved issues and bottled up emotions that has turned him into a nervous insomniac who is too tired to turn his life around. Desperate for a cure, he turns to hypnosis. It is during this state that he is given one last chance to sort through the wreckage of his past, before he loses the last thing he has – his sanity. Cytadela Asymptopia Software2010Cytadela is a single player game in which the player fights against
computer-controlled (AI) enemies. The goal of the game is to find six
bomb parts with which the Citadel has to be blown up.

To achieve it, the player not only has to defend himself against the
enemies, but (s)he also has to solve many riddles, such as switching
apropriate buttons in order to open some door, move some walls, etc.

It's a conversion of a first person shooter Amiga game originally
released in mid 1990's, first in Poland and then in other countries.

Cytadela requires a 3D graphics card. It uses the OpenGL and GLU
libraries for 3D, and SDL and SDL_mixer for 2D, music, sounds and
controllers.

DOOM id Software1993npc strife - they don't do this automatically, but will beat up their allies if subjected to friendly fire. This is a "feature" repeated in many games using the Doom engine.
possessed - the humans you encounter are controlled by demonic spirits or some such, not zombies or anything.***DoomEd as well as the DOS version of DOOM were developed on a several platforms running NeXTSTEP 3.3. NeXTSTEP's design didn't really care if these systems were 68k, x86, or PPC:
In fact, with the superpower of NeXTSTEP, one of the earliest incarnations of DoomEd had Carmack in his office, me in my office, DoomEd running on both our computers and both of us editing one map together at the same time. I could see John moving entities around on my screen as I drew new walls. Shared memory spaces and distributed objects. Pure magic.
[Zerothis]***There was also an expansion to Doom called [game=#162120]The Ultimate Doom[/game] that added fourth episode, "Thy Flesh Consumed", into the mix.***Doom launched First-Person shooters as one of the dominant genres in PC gaming(although Wolfenstein 3D had established the genre), and also launched the PC as a viable gaming platform
Superb level design, well-designed weapons and truly frightening atmosphere. The pseudo-3D levels (Doom's engine didn't allow for levels to be multi-layered) were the best looking and immersive of the time and are still enjoyable today.
Also one of the PC's most copied games, its influence rings true in the vast array of First-person shooters. This has been both a blessing and a curse for gamers, as unimaginative and poorly executed Doom-clones swamped release schedules in the mid-to-late 90s.
Doom was originally released as shareware, allowing Doom to gather a massive following very quickly.***My first digital addiction.. pure nostalgia.

Think back and feel the atmosphere again that was hanging around your DOS machine when it was playing those sinister midi files... what a game!

Final Doom id Software (TeamTNT)1996Two New, 32-Level DOOM II Episodes.

Evilution:

Far from earth, the UAC recommenced their experiments on on of the moons of Jupiter. A spaceship, mistaken for a supply vexxel on radar, hovered above the base. Hideous demons poured out, blanketing the base with death. All your comrades were quickly slaughtered or zombified. This time, it's not about survival. It's about revenge.

The Plutonia Experiment:

Every effort has been made by the nation's top scientists to close the seven interdimensional Gates of Hell, but one portal remains open. Alone, you must infiltrate the ravaged complex, defeat the demon Gatekeeper and seal the last Hell-hole before the undead are prepared to, once again, take over the world.
[?]***Includes two "campaigns":
* TNT: Evilution, with the events set on Io.
* Plutonia Experiment, with the events set on Earth.

Oddly it seems neither of the storylines take the player to Hell unlike in all other Doom games.

2007-07-20
- available via Steam***Life isn't easy when you're a 12 pound ball of tar.

You can make GISH sticky, slick, heavy, and somewhat alter his shape to jump, overcome enemies and obstacles. GISH, Gameplay and the environment is entirely based as on physics and are destructible. 57 levels, plus secret levels.

There is also a 2 player verses mode in 5 hostile environments. 2 balls of tar can't really hurt each other, but if one of 'em falls into a lake of lava, touches an open flame, or gets squished under a anvil, that's gonna hurt.

Requires Win98+, AMD/Intel 1GHz, 256MB RAM, 32MB OpenGL card. Recomended 4-button gamepad.
