Nekketsu Koukou Dodgeball Bu  Technos;CSG Imagesoft (Technos)1988In Super Dodge Ball, you take control of the USA Dodge Ball team and travel the world in an effort to become the best dodge ballers around. Step onto playing fields in countries all over the globe and use a combination of normal and super shots to help take down your opponents. But be careful, as some destinations have surfaces that can affect your footing. Manage the team as you think best, and swap out characters with other players that better fit your playing style. Two players can enjoy a head-to-head game or play a spirited round of Bean Ball, a six-character free-for-all. Three difficulty levels are available (Easy, Medium, and Hard); which one you choose will depend on your skill and courage. Do you have what it takes to lead Team USA to the ultimate prize and win the world championship of dodge ball?***developed by Technos Japan Corp.

Nekketsu Koukou Dodgeball Bu published by Technos Japan Corp.1988-07-26 in Japan
The title means "Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club"

1 player, 2 players, 3 players or 4 players simultaneous.
The Japanese version used the Famicom Four-way Adapter to allow up to to 4 players. The NES Four Score and NES Satellite had not yet been released in the USA by June of 1989, so the NES version was only 2 players and did not include a 4 player option.
[Zerothis]***Part of that killer Technos triplet also consisting of River City Ransom and (four-player) Nintendo World Cup. A 'unique sports game,' six-character teams (three in the left half of the court and three surrounding the opponent's half) attempt to drain all the energy of the three in-court opposing characters (shown in the bars at the top of the screen), thereby winning the match. By running up to the line, the three in-court players can deliver special power throws, each player on the team having two different power throws (running and running-then-jumping).***I don't care what anyone says--this is the best dodgeball game in existance. Period.

1 player, 2 players, 3 players, or 4 players simultaneous.

Based on the arcade game. The arcade game was limited to 3 human players and a computer player. In this version, there are always 4 trucks racing and all of them can be human players. The players race around stadium tracks full of obstacles that simulate off-road conditions. Nitros (1-5 each) and money ($10k-$40k each) appear on the course. Players also earn cash for placing. In between races, each player can upgrade their acceleration, suspension, top speed, tires, and stock up on nitros. Coming in last results in a game over, once you've passed race 15. Every track fits on the screen and there is no scrolling. The view is vaguely dimetric 3D. Obstacles do slow down the trucks and in rare cases can even cause an explode if the crash is violent enough.

1 player, 2 player, or 4 player simultaneous cooperative battles. There is no 3 player option. One of the players is chosen to lead and controls the party outside of battles but any player can interrupt to administrate his own character or cast spells. Apparently a new leader cannot be selected later. The game occurs entirely within one 16 floor dungeon that the party cannot leave. But their are teleporters, "zoom tube" shortcuts, and temples where the party can rest. There are also armories and places to buy things with the gold you find and collect from enemies. The main enemy is the Serpent King that the players must eventually find and kill. Battles are in pauseable real time with players able to fight, flee, or cast spells. There is also the Seven Ruby Treasures to collect. Game progress is saved via a 14 digit password and each character is saved via their own 9 digit passwords. So a complete save requires 5 passwords (50 digits). Players can be a warrior, magician, or thief that is randomly created or everyone can use a pre-generated party.

Controls:
During battle you press
A to attack the middle of the enemy.
↑+A to attack the head of the enemy (the most damaging, if you don't miss).
←+A to attack the right side the enemy (their right, not yours).
→+A to attack the left side the enemy (their right, not yours).
↓+A to attack the the enemies legs
(each type of enemy has different weakness)

Unofficial mapping guide:
Locations should be referred to by coordinates starting from the upper left most room of the 1st floor. The horizontal referred to by English alphabet lettering starting with A. The vertical by European numerals starting with 1 (not 0). The floor by Roman numerals starting with I. For clarification, a dash (minus sign) is optionally used to separate the three values instead of a comma, so that commas can be uses to separate multiple sets of coordinates. Thus the upper left (Northwest) corner of the first floor is a1I or a-1-I
the lower right most room of the bottom floor is p16XVI or p-16-XVI
. All text in this game entry should use this system. All coordinates are considered spoilers because the game was designed so that mapping the dungeon is an intended goal.

Trivia:
The production of this game was apparently plagued with disputes. Brian Fargo, president of Interplay, refused to allow lead designer Paul O'Conner's name to be listed in the credits. The game was revised by Bruce Schlickbernd who refused to be listed as the sole designer since he had merely revised O'Conner's exiting work. Both designers were uncredited (officially). Also, Boris Vallejo was not paid for his cover art.

Each of the eight available teams has multiple running/passing plays to choose from while on offense, as well as a wide selection of defensive schemes that can be run when you're on the other side of the ball. Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu  Technos1992Game description from [[link:http://www.romhacking.net Romhacking.net]]:

I've actually been fortunate enough to play this game on cart, with three other people with rahga's amazing four-player adapter. It's a Technos game, which means two things: one, all the characters look like they do in all the other Technos games, and two, it involves these characters beating the hell out of each other. This is why people love Technos games.

You can play two-on-two, or a four-player free-for-all, or a variety of other stuff. You play in a smallish arena, and beat each other up, and whoever's left standing wins. Totally fun! When you die you turn into food, which is really weird. So one of the other characters can actually eat your dead hamburger corpse, and gain back some life. The controls are pretty hard to get used to, but once you do you can really kick some ass.

[27]***My first ever football game as a child. Remember me and my friends having tournaments on there and then playing in the park branding ourselves names from the game such as Paulo Bellero, Brain Plank,Jan Tian and Janco Tianno.
What a game, pity Wales never appeared on the SNES version, but they did on the PC version.
Sadly the PC version will not run on my new PC. Anyone know where to Download an XP compatable version please let me know at [email protected]

Original Gauntlet, added quest mode, and battle modes. The quest mode includes character development and item collecting. Cannot be 100% completed unless you have 2 or more players. (one player can awkwardly control two characters with two controllers in order to complete the floors that need two or more players). Also introduces a password system for resuming games or transferring characters between games. This features can also be used to change character class. This is THE greatest ever Gauntlet port. In fact it even rivals the original arcade because of its password resuming and the dramatic ending of Quest mode. It has full sound and voices.

Kunio kun no Nekketsu Soccer League  Technos1993Like almost everything Technos has ever made, Kunio Kun Soccer is a tribute to violence. It's a sequel to World Cup Soccer, which is the American bastardization of another Kunio game.

Along with all the normal violence you'd come to expect from a Kunio sports game (namely, the ability to beat up other players to gain possession of the ball), this game offers some other interesting features. You have some weather effects, which make things more difficult by adding stuff like wind gusts and lightning strikes (which fry anyone who happens to be standing in a puddle). ALl the weather effects seem to tax the NES, however — thanks to good old slowdown. You also get to strategize, and tell the other players what to do, though most of them will ignore you and run in circles and pass the ball to absolutely no one.
It's an alright game, but there's probably much more soccer fun to be had elsewhere.

[20]***One very interesting war simulation. You control a group of soldiers, whose weapons vary, against other similar armies controlled by the CPU or an human opponent.

Little bits of humor permeates the entire game, despite they're very subtle, and won't distract you from the action

Pretty much straightforward battle, but full of those nice little fun touches that make a great game.
