It takes the player from the tiniest of villages into a sweeping tale of danger and war, chronicling their rise from a peasant to a full-fledged hero of the Realms, defending it against one of the greatest threats of the age.

Build a character that suits your style of play - good or evil, chaotic or lawful, with any number of skills, feats and professions available at the click of a button. Whether lobbing fireballs and researching forgotten spells as a powerful Wizard, hacking a trail through legions of orcs as a Fighter armed only with a battle axe and your courage, or taking on the role of a Rogue that can slip into the shadows at a moment's notice, the choice is yours. Choose your alignment, your allies, your companions, and how you want your character to develop... design the character you want, role-play the way you want, and carry the battle to the enemy.

The design aspects of Neverwinter Nights 2 don't stop there, however. Past the campaign included with the game itself, Neverwinter Nights 2 also gives you all the tools you need to build your own modules, campaigns, and adventures for your friends - move buildings, terrain, script encounters, write dialogues, create quests and items - everything you need to create an epic adventure of your own is included in the toolset for you and any other worldbuilder to use.

So if you are interested in adventure - or building adventures of your own - look no further. Neverwinter Nights 2 is on the horizon, and adventure awaits.
[Atari]***Neverwinter Nights 2 is the sequel to one of the best-selling and genre-defining role-playing games ever, set in the popular Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe created by Wizards of the Coast.

Bards sing tales of heroes from ages past, but never have the Forgotten Realms so desperately needed a champion. Years have passed since the war between Luskan and Neverwinter, almost enough time for the wounds of war to heal. But the brief peace the Realms have known may be at an end. Tension growing between the mighty city-states means the Sword Coast again teeters on the edge of open war. Unnoticed, a greater danger stalks the City of Skilled Hands. Unbeknownst to the denizens of the North, deep in the Mere of Dead Men, dark forces from across the Realms have been rallied under the banner of a legendary evil. If left unchallenged, all of the North is doomed to fall under its power.

Even in this darkest hour, hope remains. A mysterious relic is borne to Neverwinter in the hands of a lone hero so that its secrets may be unlocked--secrets that carry the fate of all the North. So begins an epic tale of shattered alliances, noble acts, and dark deeds to be told across the Realms for generations to come.

Features:

* Use the completely rewritten, powerful Obsidian Neverwinter Nights 2 toolset to create your own adventures, share them with friends, or run them through your adventure directly as the Dungeon Master

Mass Effect 2  Electronic Arts (BioWare Edmonton;EA Montreal)2010The Mass Effect trilogy is a science fiction adventure set in a vast universe filled with dangerous alien life forms and mysterious uncharted planets. In this dark second chapter, Saren’s evil army of Geth soldiers has just been defeated, and humans, who are still struggling to make their mark on the galactic stage, are now faced with an even greater peril. Mass Effect 2  Electronic Arts (BioWare;EA Montreal)2010Recruit. Explore. Control.

Two years after Commander Shepard repelled invading Reapers bent on the destruction of organic life, a mysterious new enemy has emerged. On the fringes of known space, something is silently abducting entire human colonies. Now Shepard must work with Cerberus, a ruthless organization devoted to human survival at any cost, to stop the most terrifying threat mankind has ever faced.

To even attempt this perilous mission, Shepard must assemble the galaxy’s most elite team and command the most powerful ship ever built. Even then, they say it would be suicide. Commander Shepard intends to prove them wrong.

Just like in the previous game, what you say to the other characters matters a great deal. Fortunately, the conversation system has been improved. The camera now pans around characters as they talk to one another to evoke a dramatic, cinematic feel. Also, Shepard can interrupt the conversation when given the appropriate prompt, taking situations into new directions that could help or hinder the mission.

Shepard is more customizable than ever, letting you create your ideal lead character — gender, facial features, class, and of course, attitude. Once you embark on missions, you’ll be treated to an improved battle system that lets you target weak points and blast off your enemy’s limbs with a variety of weapons.

Set out to lead your team to victory... or die at the hands of The Collectors. Either path is possible in BioWare’s smash hit, Mass Effect 2. Which destiny will you choose?***

Nunca "Shepard" dijo tanto

7 de 10***Besides removing pretty much everything that was bad about ME1, ME2 has some other improvements besides that. Though I did miss driving with the Mako on the planet with the Thorian, I'm still glad planetary surveys had been simplified to manual scanner sweeps over the old drive around with the Mako till you find something of interest. The game's RPG elements have been simplified, as most weapon skills no longer exist, and the ones that exist are temporary boosts or similar. Biotics were largely unchanged, though some new powers were added. A unique(?) feature was introduced with every single skill branching on the last (fourth) level into two alternatives that give various benefits. Otherwise the game remains largely the same, though there's almost none of the tedious running "quests" ME1 had on the Citadel. The locations you visit are much smaller, but generally speaking more unique. You won't feel like you're visiting the same place for the thousandth time unless you really are. That comes obviously with the cost that there's less optional things to do besides scanning planets for minerals, though I didn't bother to scan any more than was necessary (which probably left well over two thirds of the systems unexplored).

To summarize: ME2 is better in almost all aspects I could care about in ME1's sequel, was somewhat amazed at this achievement myself.***Minimum:

The Sims 3 Electronic Arts (EA Redwood Shores)2009Way worse than Sims 2, with only a city that is terrain-fixed, and with the control of only ONE family for the sake of neighborhood aging (good concept, but stupid for a shared computer or when you simply want to play many different families)

7 de 10***Although the base game concept is interesting as social simulation game, the game only includes one small town to play in and sell additional towns as microtransactions for about 25USD/20EUR (that's for single town), there's also other limitations which aren't as egregious as this. But I don't think I need to really go into detail on the game beyond this. It's a money milker for EA, but considering how successful the game has been, I rather question the players who actually fall for this rather than EA for doing it. I bought the game when it was discounted at "low" 15EUR price itself (from original 50EUR) and I can say that the game is hardly worth even that much. Maybe if it was like 10EUR with towns being 2EUR or so, I might consider it reasonable. There's also DLC expansions that cost the same as the base game itself.

Unfortunately popularity (or market hype?) of Sims series has made it pretty certain there won't be any serious competition, it also allows EA to continue producing inferior games for ridiculously high price.

As a game, it's decent I think, but in terms of value vs price, you're paying 100-1000 times more than you should be. Hence, don't buy any Sims games outside of significant (>60%) discounts.***The game seems to have a long standing non-critical bug where the game starts freezing every few minutes. According to some players this is likely related to pathing code where some NPC gets "stuck" and can't figure out how to get their stuff done as a result. There is no real fix for this besides starting a new game which obviously doesn't prevent an NPC from getting stuck again.***The freedom of The Sims 3 will inspire you with endless creative possibilities and amuse you with unexpected moments of surprise and mischief! Bliss: The Game for Lovers Games For Loving? Windowslabelminimizeminimize
jBliss: The Game for Lovers Games For Loving2010A few years ago my wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, I wanted to find a unique and romantic gift to celebrate, and I thought a romantic computer game would be fun. After several hours of searching the web, all I had come up with was a few games that were all better suited to a frat party or an orgy than an intimate romantic evening.

As a professional software engineer, I decided to develop a truly romantic computer game as an anniversary gift. When my wife realized what I was doing, she became excited about the project, and soon it became a joint effort. When the game became usable, we shared it with some friends. The results were overwhelming. Everyone who played the game spoke about how much fun they had with it. They talked about incredible and extended foreplay, discovery of each others desires, and just plain better sex.

Eventually we decided to offer the game to the public. Bliss is designed to help couples explore the sexual aspect of their relationships by encouraging communication and openness. The goal of Bliss is to help long term couples strengthen and enhance their relationships. Unlike many sexually oriented games, Bliss focuses on romance, love, and intimacy rather than blatant and sometimes offensive sexuality. Bliss is full of unique and innovative romantic ideas.

Bliss has met with widespread acceptance. Customers come from all walks of life. Many Games for Loving customers are conservative religous couples trying to add spark to their marriages. Other customers come from wildly different lifestyles. Bliss has been purchased by newlyweds, by retired couples, and by every age in between. Whatever the stage of you relationship, Bliss has something to offer you. Because of the wide diversity of the customer base, each game is highly customizable to allow you to determine your own comfort zone, preferences, and even your mood each time you play. Wild or Mild; it is up to you.

The overwhelming success of Bliss is leading to the development of other romantic games. As with Bliss, the goal of these games is to help couples improve their communications, their love lives, and most of all to have fun.***An intimate board game for couples. As the pieces are move around the board, a series of intimate actions are requested for the players to perform. Sometimes, sexual but always intimate. The game keeps a record of a husband's and wife's sexual likes and dislikes, answers to questions, clothes they wear, favorite music, both during the game and over time as the game is played repeatedly for a lifetime of replay value. The game developers warn that this is designed for couples to challenge each other and increase their intimacy, not just for fun (but players can customize it just for fun if they wish). The game is highly customizable; music, questions, specific clothing, specific toys, intimate actions, and other elements can be toggled, custom ones entered, and even when, where, how and in what order,. The game is for couples of any age, any place in life & relationship, and any level of comfort (due to customization)

[Zerothis]***Passage is a video game written by Jason Rohrer about navigating the maze that is life and the obstacles, rewards, disappointments, challenges, relationships and the inevitable departure that is part of the adventure of life.

Passage is an art game. As a result, some people love it and some people hate it. Check out the links to places it has been discussed on the website for some of the reactions.
The mechanics of the game are fairly simple. Your "score" is related to two things; exploration and treasure. Treasure pieces are represented by blue stars that you find in the treasure chests scattered about the maze of life's challenges. Some chests will be empty, so you must learn which sequence of gems on the front of the chests means treasure is inside. You have the option to team up with a spouse. If you do, exploring life will be more rewarding but some treasure will no longer be reachable. As in life, your spouse will die and that death will slow you down. In the end, you will die alone after your 5 minutes is up.

The most interesting part about this game is the emotions it evokes within the player of the game. The ultra-low-res pixel art helps here, by not being too distracting and by leaving plenty room for viewer interpretation.

Passage has no command-line options.
The arrow keys move the player around.
The Esc key is used to quit the game.
The game resolution and use of fullscreen or a window can be set by editing the files in /etc/passage.

Hero Generations Heart Shaped Games2015Hero Generations is a quick-playing turn-based strategy game that takes inspiration from rogue-likes, 4X strategy, and independent art games. It has been described as the offspring of Sid Meier’s Civilization, Jason Rohrer’s Passage, and The Legend of Zelda.

You play a rapidly aging hero that explores a procedurally generated world in search of fame and a mate to settle down with before you die. After your life ends, you continue on adventuring as your child. Depending upon your choices, your child will be either more fit to take on the world, or hobbled by your poor decisions.

Life took some surprising turns for me during Hero Generations' original development, and I was forced to put the game on the shelf in order to spend time with my then-newborn son and focus on other projects that could pay the bills. But with your backing, I can revive the game, finish the design and programming work, team up with amazing artist Dominic Sodano and musician Andrew Riley, and release it to the world as a standalone downloadable game for PC, Mac, and Linux platforms.***Meaning: The game system was built from the ground up to be an exploration of the themes of death, legacy, family, love, and more. The experience of playing the game I hope will be a surprising and thought-provoking experience, as well as fun. I'll be posting more details on the inspiration and design philosophy behind this in future backer updates.***Direct an aging protagonist with limited time to live their life. They can't do everything, they may not even meet any of their goals in life. Imperative to continuing the game is having children. Find a sole mate, have a romance, fall in love, get married, have children. Or just get it done. Otherwise the game ends when you the protagonist dies. Children will benefit or suffer from the choices made be their ancestors. They also inherit traits from parents. When the protagonist dies, one of the children become the new protagonist and pursue different goals or carry on the legacy of an ancestor. So, choose wisely how to live life. Be famous, be simple, be rich, be strong,, conquer the world, rule the kingdom, rule your home, build a castle, build a farm, build a shack, marry royalty, marry a warrior, or marry an ogre. You have about 5 real world minutes until the next generation. Building families and structures influences towns and neighboring towns. This will affect future generations and effect what cultures are available to choose from and and what traits are available to add to the family line. Craft familys, craft towns, craft cultures.
