The single-player experience allows the player to manage a team throughout an entire season of Blood Bowl, through the Old World of Warhammer. The team will evolve over the course of victories, experience gained and awards won. With its immense depth, the game can almost be considered as a management game, from managing the popularity and sponsorship of players to the purchase and sale of players, as well as their aging, retirement and even death.

In multiplayer, the player will be able to throw down a challenge to other Blood Bowl players and participate in large tournaments on the Internet in order to climb the official ranks.

So, don't try to run the game in a standard way exactly as the Commodre manual reccomends. In effect, this damage to the load routine prevents the disk from running if it is fast loaded. Which of course requires a fast loader upgrade cartridgen and the effort to use the loader even though the game is so small that there is little need to use the loader. The load still happens, but it is just gibberish. A gibbering load after a freeze during a standard load are two events that might make a user worry they have a bad disk, especially if they are using any nonstandard procedures nor equipment. Fear not, run an error checking program on the disk to be assured that [spoiler=the disk contains;close]GIBBERISH! This is the second game in Square's popular Final Fantasy series. It was released only in Japan (the Japanese Final Fantasy IV was released as Final Fantasy II in the U.S.). The game emphasizes the storyline more than the first game: four young refugees from a conquered kingdom join a rebel movement in hopes of striking back at their oppressors. Players must engage in conversion collecting key words to ask key people about in order to advance the plot. Character's have identities and personalities unlike in FF1. This is emphasized by character portraits of all the player characters, the fact that there are many player characters that come and go as their role in the plot dictates, and the frequent use of player characters' names by NPC's. Familial relationships between characters are also frequently noted. The graphics aren't terribly advanced beyond FF1's, but the experience system was completely revamped. Instead of gaining EXP and levels, the heroes gain points in the abilities that they use. Attacking a lot increases strength. Getting hit a lot increases defense. Casting the Fire spell a lot increases the spell's power. Using an axe increase axe fighting ability. An interesting concept (usually reserved for computer RPGs), but one that makes for a difficult game (as long as the endemic exploits of this game's system are not utilized). A translation to English patch for the ROM is available.

The author intended to replicate this. However, it is much easier for the player to perform this maneuver than the author intended.

Certain conditions will cause the scrolling to reference the wrong memory locations causing hexadecimal numbers to appear instead of scrolling game graphics into view.

The Gothic world is constantly changing and evolving: events will occur that can alter the relationships between several groups of characters. NPCs are fully rounded with their own daily habits and relationships: they get up, work, go to bed, chat with each other and so on. More significantly, monsters cooperate with each other and are able to figure things out; they have individual perception. Some can be lured with food or noise, some will run away from bright light. Some can only hear or detect movement. Each character has the ability, with the correct training, to improve particular skills as the game progresses: training with the master of the sword, for example, will result in a character displaying noticeably more skilled swordsmanship. It is so much more satisfying to witness the effect of the skills you have learnt when they are visible in your character as oppose to a meaningless number rating, improving say, from 8 to 10. These 'optical' improvements are for the whole range of skills included in Gothic. The two different classes of magic (which are absolutely independent from each other) work along the same lines.***

And the project may yet be updated and improved (His later Unity game is good). No improvements here over the original. Too many problems to list. Here's a few. You can move right off the playfield. You can just sit there safe as alien invaders come closer an closer to earth. Then finally they touch down and reverse direction. Then then penetrate the Earth and reverse direction. They continue until they vanish deep into the Earth. Eventually they will appear in the sky once more. But you don't have to hide to observe this. There are several places on the screen where the aliens or their UFO will never shoot you. When they get low enough, they'll pass right through you. Collisions are troubles elsewhere as well. Your bolts will explode in the sky if fail to strike an alien craft. Sometimes they will pass through a craft to destroy it and the craft above it. Sometimes they will just pass through. They also randomly pass through your cover.You may want to avoid shooting altogether, after you hear the horrid screen made by your bolts.

QANAT is a great fixed shooter in the space invaders style. I recommend it. I sincerely hope he fixes Invaders and removed this one black sport in his lineup.

OK, you can shoot an incoming bolt and the colliding bolts make a nice explosion. I'll give that.

The game does not install on NT versions of Windows such as Windows 2000 and later. You can circumvent this easily just by copying the MAGESLAY folder from CD to where-ever you would've installed the game otherwise, it requires nothing more spectacular than that.***MageSlayer was developed by Raven Software from 1996 - 1997 and published by GT Interactive for the PC. Utilizing the same Vampire engine as Take No Prisoners, MageSlayer was Raven's tribute to top-down action games.

The MageSlayer engine utilized Direct 3D to supported most 3D accelerator cards on the market at the time in order to offer superior graphics quality and other features like colored lighting. All of the levels for MageSlayer were created using 3D Studio Max along with several plugins that were custom-written for in house use to make texturing and scripting much easier than it had been in the past.

This game seems to be a particularly mean spirited satirical parody of Ultima IV. It is directed a Americans RPGs and Americans. But, the authors seem to have number of mistaken beliefs. Such as all American RPGs are like Ultima IV in their concerned about moral behavior. And that all American RPGs preach puritanism. There seems to be some Conan the Barbarian influences with this game. Perhaps there was some serious RPG they set out to make, but it was lost as the developed process. Rather than a serious story with interesting characters, the authors apparently try to make their point with perversion and toilet humor. I think the authors were hormone crazed teenagers.

I don't know enough French to call this article a review. Nor have I delved into the game. I may not be correct in my assessment of the game.

7 de 10***Although the base game concept is interesting as social simulation game, the game only includes one small town to play in and sell additional towns as microtransactions for about 25USD/20EUR (that's for [u]single town[/u]), there's also other limitations which aren't as egregious as this. But I don't think I need to really go into detail on the game beyond this. It's a money milker for EA, but considering how successful the game has been, I rather question the players who actually fall for this rather than EA for doing it. I bought the game when it was discounted at "low" 15EUR price itself (from original 50EUR) and I can say that the game is hardly worth even that much. Maybe if it was like 10EUR with towns being 2EUR or so, I might consider it reasonable. There's also DLC expansions that cost the same as the base game itself.

Unfortunately popularity (or market hype?) of Sims series has made it pretty certain there won't be any serious competition, it also allows EA to continue producing inferior games for ridiculously high price.

As a game, it's decent I think, but in terms of value vs price, you're paying 100-1000 times more than you should be. Hence, don't buy any Sims games outside of significant (>60%) discounts.***The game seems to have a long standing non-critical bug where the game starts freezing every few minutes. According to some players this is likely related to pathing code where some NPC gets "stuck" and can't figure out how to get their stuff done as a result. The Reticulans who invaded the Earth are not true representatives of their kind, they are a breakaway faction that burned the bridges and chose this backwater part of space to conduct its experiments.

The Reticulans would construct a large satellite (several kilometres across) with a closed ecosystem and move the remnants of human population there. The experiment with the Biomass would go on on the surface. Then something went horribly wrong...

And a second neurolyser flash afterwards to forget the bugs.***The tag note now claims this is conclusion to the UW series, but isn't this rather a conclusion to the Age of Armageddon sub-series? In all regards this seems unrelated to UW.***The Dragon Edition was a collectors pack containing the 2 Game CDs plus The [game=Ultima Collection]Ultima Collection[/game] CD (the 1st 8 Ultimas), 8 virtue cards, an Ankh pendant, an Ascension poster, a cloth map, a leather Game Journal, a leather Book of Magic (animals were sacrificed for this entertainment), a certification from Lord British, and an Ultima Collection reference card. Believe it or not, this is intended to be the finale of the Ultima series. Officially, the 3rd game of the Age of Armageddon trilogy which is the 3rd age, and the 3rd game of Ultima Underworld series. Fans who have been paying close attention would have noted some requirements in prophecy doled out in the previous games. Players will not find the vast majority of these prophecies fulfilled in this game. It is not a spoiler to say ascendancy occurs, the game makes it obvious in title, box art, and in-game, from the very beginning. The Ultima universe is a different one from ours where the protagonist is from Earth. The protagonist, sort of, fulfills his roles in this game that were set when Lord British chose him in Ultima IV to become the Avatar. It is blatently shown that [spoiler=including;including]the Guarding[/spoiler] is indestructible which had been alluded to in the earlier games. Pirates play an important role in the main plot and several side-quests and plots. But, officially, it is set in the Ultima universe and ends the Age of Armageddon. The setting is consistent with a late medieval-theme. Cannons, machines, weapons, ship technology and the artwork in the game place it on the cusp of a Renaissance-theme; but does not quite qualify. Archery of a sort occurs. This game was originally designed for Voodoo Graphics/3Dfx cards, which utilized the Glide3D API. The released game also contained various options to use DirectX technologies. The Direct3D option was barely passable. Official patches brought the requirement of DirectX 6. An unofficial patch from members of the development team require DirectX 7. There are people being held prisoner,[spoiler=including;including]the Avatar[/spoiler]at one point. The ever present Rule Britannia music accompanies Lord British's castle. Widescreen is not officially supported but the config file allows the horizontal and vertical resolution to be manually specified. So if the provided numbers match a resolution supported by your card and monitor, it works. Although to wide an aspect will cause controls for inventory and books to be off-screen. It supports vertical screen in this way also. It does not support alternate projections (anamorphic), so if your monitor projects the given mode anamorphicly, the image will be distorted the same.
[Zerothis]***The last of the legendary Ultima series in 3D! Unfortunately, it was plagued with bugs, rendering it almost unplayable.
