Battle Cruiser Action Mytopia Gameware Institute1981[Mytopia Gameware Institute is] A game studio founded in the late '70s with the notion that a computer can play a game just like the player.

It didn't need to cheat, and with the correct programming can even outplay a human.

They finally overcame this hurdle in 1981 with the critically acclaimed game "Battle Cruiser Action"

[4]***Players control a biplane in a pseudo-3D isometric environment... The plane can move up, down, left and right, as well as shoot at other planes and bomb buildings, cars, runways, and enemy planes on standby. When damaged, parts of the plane will cease to function properly; fuel may leak, the machine gun may fire intermittently, the plane may lose altitude. Overall a fine game with decent sound and excellent graphics.

Blue Max: Aces of the Great War Three-Sixty (Artech Digital Productions)19901914 - the peaceful blue skies over France are shattered forever by the machine guns of mankind's first fighting aircraft. The medal "Pour le Merite" - The British called it "the Blue Max" - was awarded to the best German pilots of World War I. To flyers of both sides it symbolized the utmost in daring, courage, and honor during a time that will never be repeated in the story of aviation.

Fame was rated daily on the numbers of planes shot down; rapid advances were made in flying technology and techniques; men prepared themselves to die at the word of a leader. And out of it all grew the desire to fly and win that pushed pilots, airplanes, and the newborn aviation industry to the limits.

In Blue Max: Aces of the Great War, begin by choosing sides and one of eight great fighters. Action is immediate and relentless, as you fly the most famous aircraft of the time - Fokker, Spad, Nieuport, Sopwith, Albatross - with the best of the best, including Richthofen, Fonck, Mannock, and Rickenbacker. Learn the characteristics of each plane, and the different tricks and techniques of each ace.

Different playing modes let one or two players fly solo, as a team, or against each other using the same computer. Fly in full action dogfights, undertake missions to destroy bridges and observation balloons, or work out strategies a segment at a time in detail.***

What if history was not supposed to play out the way it has? What if people from the future are playing with us; making us do the things to make the future world a ‘better place' - what is a ‘better place' anyway? Should History ever be changed, even the most traumatic times? Doesn't History shape who we are?

Gameplay

In Darkest of Days, you get to experience some of the most varied gameplay ever released in one title. Things will never get stale as you travel to distant times, and fight alongside people from that time period. Fighting in Antietam (the bloodiest day of the American Civil War) feels much different than fighting on the side of the Russians at Tannenberg (where the Russians withstood 140,000 casualties in WW I).

* Fight In FIVE Distinct Different Time Periods
Whether its in Pompeii, Antietam, WW I, or two other unannounced time periods, you will fight with weapons of the time period. You will fight against enemies that fight in different ways, all reflective of how fighting was done at that time.

* Participate In EPIC Battle Scenes
. .* You will fight against the Confederates (and the Union at times), facing a staggering number of troops, all fighting in unison. Ready, aim . . . steady men . . . FIRE!
. .* You will jump from the trenches in WW I to lead an attack against the Huns. You will man artillery to hit distant targets. You will defend to the last man!
. .* You will Fight in Pompeii, while Mt. Vesuvius is spewing ash and fire into the atmosphere. You will fight amongst a frightened population, fleeing for their lives.

* Play From Opposing Sides Of Conflicts
Nearly every time-period offers game-play from each side of the conflict. In trying to keep History pure, you have to undo mistakes you make, which may require fighting from the other perspective to ‘mend'.

* Unleash Hell With Futuristic Weaponry
What could you have done with a automatic rifle during the Civil War, or some futuristic laser sighted pulse cannon in the Trenches of WW I? There are times where you have no other choice but to bust out the big guns.
