Anonymine author2016This minesweeper clone has the distinction of using Von Neumann neighborhood theory and an algorithm to ensure no unwinnable games are presented to be played. As there is guessing required, ever, it is a perfect information game. And the game can be played anonymously over SSH.

Of note: the author is a full on Free Software zealot. Awesome.

Hex-a-hop author2009Hex-a-hop is a great puzzle game in which a girl has to break all the green tiles in an hexagonal map without getting trapped. There is no time limit and no real-time element.

The objective is simply to destroy all the green hexagonal tiles on each of the 100 levels. As you progress through the game, more types of tiles are introduced which make things more difficult and interesting.

Hexagonal Minesweeper  author?Minesweeper played on a hexagonal grid. There is also variations in mine types and additional information about nearby squares. The left number in a cell the represents the traditional counting of adjacent mines (0 to 18). Note, however, that a cell can contain up to 3 mines. The right number in the cell is total of each surrounding cell (cells adjacent to the adjacent cells); but these surrounding cells are one square away so 1 is subtracted from the total of each surrounding cell (0-24). In the case of 0 mines in a surrounding cell, 0 is added to the total. Study the lost game screenshot on this page. It demonstrates the rules.

Hexxagon author2001The goal of the game is to conquer as much of the board as possible.
This is done by capturing the opponent’s pieces or by cloning your own.
The board is a hexagon built from smaller hexagons.

Hexxagon is just like Ataxx apart from the board design;
the Ataxx board is square and the Hexxagon board is hexagonal.
Hexxagon also offers alternatives boards.

HyperRogue II was based on Hyperbolic Rogue and was created for 7DRL contest.
HyperRogue III was started from scratch and sharers no code with it's prequels. HyperRogue III was rename to HyperRogue on the release of HyperRogue 4.0. HyperRogue 4.x is not a sequel, its just HyperRogue III renamed with the latest version. The original Hyperbolic Rogue was name changed back to Hyperbolic Rogue to avoid confusion (TOO LATE!)
