When I first saw the purple moving clouds in the skies of the game on the free demo I remember I rushed to the store to buy it!! I can remember I played night after night just to finish the game and had sleepy eyes on the office the day after. In the end of the game there was some kind of a monster on a small island which you could jump on to finish it off.. No doubt about it: In its genre, one of the best games ever.

Johnny Dash's bash 'em smash 'em adventure takes him into the evil Under World of Count Chuck. The story starts when Johnny's dog Tex is kidnapped by the Count, along with hundreds of other pet dogs and cats. The friendly bed monster under Johnny's bed tells Johnny where Tex was taken, and how Johnny can use his secret closet passageway to get to the Under World himself. Count Chuck plans to turn all the pets into an army of undead monsters. Johnny grabs his slingshot and leaps into his closet. The Count will not turn his dog Tex into a monster, not if he can stop him...!

Monster Bash is full of scary action and haunting puzzles. No previous Apogee game (to this point) has featured so much ANIMATION. For instance, Johnny can climb, crawl, shoot his slingshot in several directions, fly a broom, and a lot more. And Johnny's super charged slingshot can shoot rocks, rockets, fireballs, and other surprises. There also more enemy creatures and monsters than ever seen in an Apogee game.

Superb level design, well-designed weapons and truly frightening atmosphere. The pseudo-3D levels (Doom's engine didn't allow for levels to be multi-layered) were the best looking and immersive of the time and are still enjoyable today.
Also one of the PC's most copied games, its influence rings true in the vast array of First-person shooters. This has been both a blessing and a curse for gamers, as unimaginative and poorly executed Doom-clones swamped release schedules in the mid-to-late 90s.
Doom was originally released as shareware, allowing Doom to gather a massive following very quickly.***My first digital addiction.. pure nostalgia.

Evilution:

Far from earth, the UAC recommenced their experiments on on of the moons of Jupiter. A spaceship, mistaken for a supply vexxel on radar, hovered above the base. Hideous demons poured out, blanketing the base with death. All your comrades were quickly slaughtered or zombified. This time, it's not about survival. It's about revenge.

The Plutonia Experiment:

Every effort has been made by the nation's top scientists to close the seven interdimensional Gates of Hell, but one portal remains open. When Steve Mason awakens in the quiet North American town called Harvest, he cannot remember anything. People claim to know him and even to be related to him, but he does not recall their names. As he explores the strange town, he encounters more and more eccentric people, whose behavior is difficult to explain. Everyone keep telling him that he should join the Lodge, the headquarters of the mysterious Order of the Harvest Moon. Steve is determined to find out the truth about the town and about himself, but he doesn't know that this truth is more horrifying than he could have ever imagined...

Harvester is essentially a point-and-click, puzzle-solving adventure game. Though a weapon-shaped icon allows the player to attack characters, this can only be done as a solution to a puzzle, in order to advance the game's plot at specific points. The largest bulk of the gameplay is dedicated to traditional adventure activities: talking to characters and manipulating inventory items to solve puzzles. "Hot spots" indicate interaction possibilities, as in most adventure games of that period. The game features video cut scenes with live actors; for gameplay portions, digitized animations of the actors are super-imposed over pre-rendered background graphics.***

With amnesia and a whole bunch of crazy people that don't make a lot of sense, you got to figure out what is going on. Welcome to the 1950s, 40 years before the make of this game. Confused, you must talk to everyone and find out what is going on.
You cannot live in Harvest without becoming a Harvester!
