Searching by tag forces tag display

I mean, for example if you go here: /search?ftag=steampowered
And then open up "more options and filters" and unselect tags and hit search, the tags are still shown.

I believe that had to do with my request (in UVL Slack) to make thumbnail view default for game searches. It was not changed to default, but the search options changed in a way that they were remembered (which makes it easier for me, but a random new visitor still does not get the thumbnail view results). I think this applies to other options like tags as well.

Then it's remembered too hard, because it's undoing the choice made before hitting search.

actually, I am getting the tags column fairly consistently with all searches, tags or not. I've been using fcol=a to eliminate it because I find it so annoying.

Looks like it is almost always on default. This could be related to the other request, but wasn't meant to be like this.
I'll see if this can be fixed quickly, otherwise will have to wait for the next week.
